VISIT OF THE CHIEF OF STAFF TO THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF FIELD ENGINEER

The Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, conducted an official visit to the Office of the Chief Field Engineer (OCFE) at Army Headquarters on 27 August 2026.

Upon his arrival, the Chief of Staff was warmly received by the Chief Field Engineer and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General CD Wickramanayake WV RSP ndc, together with the Staff Officers of the OCFE. The visit commenced with a comprehensive briefing delivered by the Chief Field Engineer, which highlighted the organizational structure, technical capabilities, and the progress of various field and plant engineering tasks currently undertaken by the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.

During his interaction with the Officers of the OCFE, the Chief of Staff emphasized the vital importance of continuous training, technical skill enhancement, and professional development to effectively meet evolving security and nation-building challenges.

Before his departure, the Chief of Staff conveyed his best wishes and appreciation for the professional standards maintained by the OCFE, marking the successful conclusion of the official visit.
