The closing address of Spiritual Biodynamic Agriculture Field Assistant Course (NVQ-III) No - 26 was held on 28 October 2024 at the School of Agriculture & Livestock (Kilinochchi).
Commandant, School of Agriculture & Livestock, Major WTU Perera SLACAL, graced the occasion and conducted the closing address for the course. The course began on 19 July 2024, and eight students registered for it from various regiments. S/6500292 Sgt Pushpakumara M H K was awarded first place based on the best overall performances in the course. The course curriculum included the Fundamentals of Agriculture, Crop Science, Animal Husbandry, Food Science & Technology, Agriculture Engineering and Field Practicals.
Senior officers/ officers and other instructors of the School of Agriculture & Livestock participated in the event. This course uplifts and enhances the basic agriculture knowledge of the other ranks in the Sri Lanka Army.

The Regimental Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock, Brigadier T M S J Tennakoon RSP made a formal visit to 2 (V) Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock, on 23 September 2024.
The Regimental Centre Commandant was accorded a drive pass and welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel S D D Rasika Kumara psc SLAC. The Regimental Centre Commandant was briefed on the administrative functioning of the 2(V) SLACAL by the Commanding Officer. After the briefing, Centre Commandant conducted a discussion with the Commanding officer on current administrative issues and areas to be improved with the participation of Deputy Centre Commandant and the Grade 1 officers who hold the appointments as branch heads of the Regimental Centre.
Finally, the Centre Commandant addressed the troops and the ceremony concluded with the field visit of the camp premises.

Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock bid farewell to the fourth Centre Commandant of SLACAL Brigadier KASK Siriwardana RWP RSP USP on 13 September 2024.
Farewell formalities were held in their customary way at the SLACAL Regimental Centre Karandeniya, Ambalangoda. A Guard turnout and a farewell parade were accorded to the Brigadier KASK Siriwardana RWP RSP USP by the troops of the Regiment. Then he posed in group photograph with all officers and senior NCOs. During the troops address, he shared his thoughts on how this regiment was upgraded during his period and thanked all who supported the uplift of this regiment to the present standard. After that, the outgoing center commandant participated in all rank tea.
Deputy Centre Commandant of SLACAL Colonel NC Lokugalappaththi IG, Commanding Officers, senior officers, officers, and all ranks of SLACAL participated in the event to pay tribute to the outgoing Centre Commandant. All officers and other ranks congratulated Brigadier KASK Siriwardana RWP RSP USP for a happy retirement.

Commander Security Forces (East) and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Major General SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc formally visited 1 SLACAL Nochchiyagama on 28 June 2024.
Lt Col RWMRMN Rathnayake RSP psc IG, the Commanding Officer warmly welcomed Major General SA Kulathunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc on arrival, and a subsequent ceremonial guard turnout was awarded at the entrance in accordance with military formalities. Then he planted a sapling and appeared for a group photograph to mark his visit to 1 SLACAL.
Subsequently, the commanding officer conducted a comprehensive briefing on the state of administration, general, and log matters. After that, Major General SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc participated in the all-rank tea, and then he addressed the troops. Later, Colonel Commandant visited the camp area and ORs accommodation area to inspect.
Afterwards, Colonel Commandant visited Army Farm Nirawiya, Army Farm Maho and Army Farm Balalla. The Centre Commandant Brigadier KASK Siriwardana RWP RSP USP also took part in the program.

Commander Security Forces (East) and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock, Major General SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, paid his first visit to the 4th Volunteer Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock on 26 and 27 June 2024.
The Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 4 (V) SLACAL, Lieutenant Colonel ED Jayawarana USP SLAC, and a ceremonial guard turnout was awarded at the entrance in accordance with military formalities. Col Comdt planted a sapling in the camp to mark his visit to 4(V) SLACAL, followed by a comprehensive briefing by the commanding officer. Col Comdt inspected the camp area and mango chutney project. After that, he addressed the troops and then participated in the all-rank tea.
Afterward, Colonel Commandant Major General SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc visited Army Farm Adiyapuliyankulam, Army Farm Manikfarm, and Army Farm Wellankulam to inspect those.
On the evening of June 27, 2024, Maj Gen SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc visited to inspect Army farms Iranamadu and Pudukuduirippu. The Centre Commandant Brigadier KASK Siriwardana RWP RSP USP also took part in the program.

The Col Comdt planted a sapling in the respective camp premises and appeared for a group photograph to mark his visit to the School of Agriculture and Livestock. The Commandant, School of Agriculture and Livestock, conducted a comprehensive briefing about administration and the courses of the training school. Subsequently, Col Comdt addressed the troops. Then he inspected the camp area. After signing the visitors’ book, Col Comdt departed from the School of Agriculture and Livestock.
