    Director General Infantry and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock, Major General KPSA Fernando RWP RSP ndu, paid his first visit to the 2nd Volunteer Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock on 06th November 2023.

    The Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Overlooking Commanding Officer of 2(V) SLACAL, Major BPUR Bandara SLACAL. The Col Comdt planted a sapling in the respective camp premises and posed a group photograph to remark his visit on 2(V) SLACAL. The Overlooking Commanding Officer conducted a comprehensive briefing about the unit and Army Farms, which are under command by 2(V) SLACAL. The Col Comdt addressed the troops and then he attended to all rank tea. Later, he inspected the camp area.

    Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock bid farewell to the 1st Colonel Commandant of SLACAL Major General WBSM Abeysekera RSP VSV USP on 07 October 2023.Farewell formalities were held in its customary way at the SLACAL Regimental Centre Karandeniya,Ambalangoda.A Guard turnout and a farewell parade were accorded to the Major General WBSM Abeysekera RSP VSV USP by the Troops of the Regiment.During the troops address he was shared his thoughts on how this regiment was raised and thanked all who supported to the uplift this regiment to the present standard.The days' events were concluded with a Mess Night at the officers' Mess SLE,Panagoda.

    Director General Financial Management & Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Major General WBSM Abeysekera RSP VSV USP paid his last visit to the School of Agriculture & Livestock at Murukkandi,Kilinochchi on 16 September 2023.

    The Colonel Commandant was welcomed by the Commandant,School of Agriculture & Livestock,Lieutenant Colonel DLCN Muththanthirige SLACAL.He sapling a tree in the respective camp premises to mark his last visit on School of Agriculture & Livestock.During his speech he explained the importance of the courses conducted by School of Agriculture & Livestock and he appreciated the tremendous service done by the Commandant,all officers and staff of the School of Agriculture & Livestock.The event was terminated with the cultural musical show held at School of Agriculture & Livestock with the participation of militarised troops.

  • The Commander, Logistics Command Visits School of Agriculture & Livestock

    The Commander, Logistics Command Major General SPIMB Samarakoon Hdmc,Lsc made a formal visit to the School of Agriculture & Livestock – Murukandi, Kilinochchi on 13 September 2023.The Commandant, School of Agriculture & Livestock Lieutenant Colonel DLCN Muththanthirige was welcomed the Commander, Logistics Command to the formal visit of School Agriculture & Livestock. During the Visit he was inspected ongoing agriculture courses conducted by School of Agriculture and Livestock & gave away proper guidance to uplift the standard of the School of Agriculture & Livestock and the importance of muster all tradesmen in the Regiment.
