Troops of 2(V) SLSC constructed house for Late Sergeant Bandara who passed away on 23rd December 2018 due to a sudden accident and this project was sponsored by Sri Lanka Signal Corps – Seva Vanitha Branch. Meanwhile, President of Army Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs Sujeewa Nelson, took part in the event as the chief guest with invitation of Mrs Keshini Hettiarachchi - President Signal Seva vanitha Branch. Further, this house was handed over to Mrs SRN Dilrukshi Dassanayake, late Sergeant Bandara's wife ceremonially on 1st November 2019 by the Chief Guest.

Celebrating the day of 76th Anniversary of the Corps of Signals, troops awarded the Anniversary Guard Turnout and the Parade to the Colonel Commandant followed by the traditional All Ranks Lunch on 19 October 2019. Ceremony commenced with the Guard Turnout and the fully ceremonial parade. Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals, Major General N M HETTIARACHCHI VSV USP psc Hdmc reviewed the parade while Regimental Centre Commandant accompanied throughout.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch for the year of 2019 was held at the Signal Officers Mess, on 08th September 2019. During the meeting the Chairperson of AGM Mrs. Keshini Hettiarachchi described and admired all past activities that had been done by the Seva Vanitha Branch of SLSC. The president of Seva Vanitha Branch further explained her vision and objectives to be achieved in the future and highlighted that Seva Vanitha branch had been doing a magnanimous task to encourage and motivate soldiers in the past during their needs.

Sri Lanka Signal Corps Women Athletes became the Runners-up by securing 141 marks at the 56th Army Athletic meet, held at Sugathadasa Stadium on 21, 26,27 and 28 August 2019, for the first time in the history.

Quarterly Officers’ Training Day of the Corps of Signals for the 2nd Quarter of the year 2019 was held at the Signal Regimental Centre on 31 July 2019. The training programme started with Morning PT session that was held at SLSC Play Ground from 0600 hrs to 0700 hrs. As per the programme of the day, after the group breakfast at the Officers’ Mess till 0815 hrs, a period was allocated for all the young officers who were present to practice essential Sward Drills.

Skilled artist, Cpl Bamunusinghe BANU presently serving in the School of Signals, presented a hand-drawn picture of Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake Commander of the Army at the Commander’s Office, Army Headquarters. The occasion of presenting the hand-drawing to the Commander of the Army were associated by Major General NM Hettiarachchi VSV USP psc Hdmc the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps and Colonel Imal Assalaratchi USP psc the Commandant School of Signal.
