On 12 Nov 2025, the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps proudly hosted a distinguished event to felicitate Maj Azad A Hameed (Retd). Maj Azad A Hameed joined the Sri Lanka Signal Corps in 1963 and served under Brig Frank Silva and Brig Lory Fernando. During his tenure he contributed at his Best to Sri Lanka Signal Corps in performing his duties as a Signaler.

The Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps was filled with pride and celebration as the corps paid tribute to two of its exceptional athletes this morning, the Colonel Commandant of the Corps welcomed and honoured two of its outstanding athletes, Lance Corporal M Y F Safiya and Lance Corporal D T A De Silva for their outstanding achievements at the 4th south Asian Senior Athletics Championship 2025 held in Ranchi, India. Their stellar performances, which brought international recognition and glory to both the Sri Lanka Army and the nation, were honoured in a grand felicitation ceremony graced by the Colonel commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps.
