  • CORPS OF SIGNALS WELCOMED THE INCOMING COLONEL COMMANDANT

    The Sri Lanka Signal Corps presented military honours and warm greetings to the newly-appointed Colonel Commandant, Major General DAPN Dematanpitiya ndu psc during a formal ceremony held at the Signals Regimental Headquarters at Panagoda on Wednesday, 26 February 2020. Major General DAPN Dematanpitiya ndu psc, the present Commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College assumed office as the 10th Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps.

  • OUTGOING SLSC COLONEL COMMANDANT SALUTED IN MILITARY PARADE

    Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) troops bade farewell to the outgoing Colonel Commandant, Major General NM Hettiarachchi VSV USP psc Hdmc on Monday (24) on his retirement after having counted an illustrious service of more than 35 years in the Army. The ceremony was formally held in keeping with military traditions at the SLSC Regimental Headquarters premises at Panagoda.

Thus, it is a timely requirement to identify emerging challenges and be equipped with essential capabilities to address those effectively and efficiently. In this context, Exercises of this nature would be immensely beneficial to enhance the awareness on cyber space and its security among the Army personnel,” so remarked the Chief Guest, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Acting Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and Commander of the Army during his address to the Exercise - ‘Zero Day of Virtual Battle’, staged at the Army HQ this morning (30) which assessed the threat and vulnerability emerging through the application of computers and computer networks and the possible official solution to solve the issue or fix the issue.

    Newly constructed officers’ mess of 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps at Menerigama, Padukka was ceremonially opened by Maj Gen N M Hettiarachchi VSV USP psc Hdmc, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps and the Chief Signal Officer. Brigadier P A J Peiris, Director Information Technology, Brigadier L S P Perera USP, Centre Commandant and Brigadier W L Premasiri USP, Commander Signal Brigade together with several Officers attended the event.

  • Aesthetic Skills of Eight Signallers, Now on Display in Colombo

    More than 150 paintings and murals, crafted by exceptionally-talented eight serving Signallers of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) were exposed to the public on Saturday (11) when the SLSC Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) organized an exhibition of those paintings, ‘Sebala Sithuwam’ in the J.D.A Perera Gallery, Horton Place, Colombo 7 in order to further encourage and motivate those painters.
