An essential item distributing programme was organized by 14 SLSR for pregnant mothers of Lahugala area under the supervision of Second in Command Maj KDA Dhanayaka SLSR with participation of 02 x 05 troops on 26 December 2024 at the HQ 14 SLSR according to the instruction of Commanding Officer KSN Perera SLSR.
Under the guidance of Major General H.C.L. Galappatthi RSP USP, General Officer Commander of the 24 Infantry Division, and the supervision of the Officiating Brigade Commander of the 241 Infantry Brigade, the troops of 18 Battalion of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment provided lunch for 16 children and 5 staff of the Holy Cross Church at Kalmunai. The event was held at the Kalmunai Holy Cross Church on 23 December 2024 .
The 223 Infantry Brigade commemorated its 5th anniversary on 16 December 2024 with a series of events held at the Brigade Headquarters premises despite the challenging weather conditions. The celebrations were conducted under the guidance of the Brigadier L R Wijeratne USP ,Commander of the 223 Infantry Brigade.
Under the supervision of Brigadier LR Wijeratne USP, Commander 223 Infantry Brigade and the coordination of Lieutenant Colonel LBSUK Liyanagedara Psc, Commanding Officer of 6 SLAC, the distribution of school equipment to 134 students of Sinhapura Vidyawardena Vidyalaya, Mahadiwulwewa was held on 21.12.2024 under the sponsorship of Mr. PrasannaWijeratne, Director of VSIS Computer Institute.
