    One more newly constructed house was vested in a needy family by Security Force Headquarters (East) on Sunday (28) in Trincomalee area with the supervision of 22 Infantry Division. The house, built by Army troops of 6 Battalion of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps under 223 Infantry Brigade of 22 Infantry Division was vested to the recipient, Mrs Pradeepika Lasanthi in the Mailawewa Thusithapura area on 28 November 2021 under the patronage of the Commander Security Forces – East Major General Channa Weerasuriya...

  • ARMY ENGINEERS-BUILT 3 STORIED 'DHARMASHALAWA' AT SOMAWATHIYA OPENED

    The new three-storied 'Dharmashalawa' at the historic Somawathiya Rajamaha Vihara temple premises was declared open on November 07 after successful completion of the construction commenced in 2017 under 'Pibidemu Polonnaruwa Project' with the technical expertise of 15 Corps of Engineering Services (CES) troops of the Security Force Headquarters - East. The opening ceremony was organized under the counsel of the Chief Incumbent of Somawathiya Rajamaha Viharaya by Ven Pahamune Sri Sumangala Nayake Thero, Incumbent, Somawathiya Raja Maha Viharaya.

  • HANDING OVER SIRASA SPONSORED ARMY CONSTRUCTED TWO NEW HOMES TO NEEDY FAMILIES

    On the request of MTV/MBC, 'Sirasa' Media Network through its 'Sirasa Niwasa Project - Phase 3' sought the Army technical and manpower assistance from Commander of Army for constructing two new houses for needy families in Medirigiriya and Ampara. As directed by Commander of Army, Commander Security Forces East Major General Channa Weerasuriya delegated the responsibility to troops of 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Army Service Corps and 11th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard under command to the Security Force Headquarters East to construct the two houses.

  • THE FIRST STOCK OF SFHQ-E PRODUCED ORGANIC FERTILIZER RELEASED

    Giving a boost to the Government's Organic Fertilizer Production Process as per directions of the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva, the first stock of organic fertilizer produced by the troops under the Security Force Headquarters (East) was released to ‘Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited' (Lak Pohora) on the directions of Major General Channa Weerasuriya, Commander Security Force (East) at SFHQ (E) premises Welikanda on Tuesday (26).
