Major General GRRP Jayawardena RWP RSP ndu, Commander, Security Forces (East) paid his first official visit to the 24 Infantry Division Headquarters in Malwaththa, Ampara during 25 - 28 May 2022 upon his assumption of office as the Commander, Security Forces (East).
The day’s itinerary got underway after Commander, Security Forces (East) was warmly received by Major General S B Amunugama RWP RSP ndu, General Officers Commanding (GOC), 24 Infantry Division.
Major General GRRP Jayawardena RWP RSP ndu on his arrival reviewed the Guard Turnout at the entrance to the Divisional Headquarter premises in accordance with military formalities.
After the Commander addressed the Officers and Other Ranks at the Division Headquarters premises, the the General Officers Commanding, 24 Infantry Division Presented a memento to the Commander, Security Forces (East).
After the 24 Infantry Division visit, the Commander, Security Forces (East) visited 241 Infantry Brigade - Akkaraipaththu, 18 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment - Kalmunai and 16 Sri Lanka National Guard - Annamalai.
Next day, the Commander visited 11 Sri Lanka National Guard and Deegawapiya Temple to inspect the ongoing constructions. On 27 of May, the visiting Commander visited 242 Infantry Brigade - Komari, 23 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and addressed the troops.
Addressing the troops, Commander appreciated all Officers and the Other Ranks for Their tasks done to the Green Agriculture project.
