Troops of 122 Infantry Brigade and 12 Gajaba Regiment conducted a cleaning programme at Yodhakandiya Waweyaya Kaakabodi Viharaya premises on 08 December 2024.The initiative was carried out under the guidance of Major General JSBW Pallekubura RWP RSP ndc psc General Officer Commanding, 12 Infantry Division and Brigadier KHMUB Kolongahapitiya USP, Commander 122 Infantry Brigade.

Three officers and 15 other ranks of 2(volunteer) Sri Lanka Army Rifle Corps (SLRC) and one officer and 09 Other ranks of 111 Infantry Brigade under the 11 Infantry Division, rose to an emergency call from police Station Kandy and rushed to Hanthana mountain range in search of 10 students (belong to 09 from Gurukula Vidyalaya Paliyagoda and 01 from DS Senayake Collage) who had gone and missing on 04.December 2024 while an adventure tour to the area.However, after about 5-6 hours serch teems succeeded in tracing those 10 student.
