Troops of the 12 Infantry Division successfully completed the construction of a long-awaited shrine room at Udamulla Maha Vidyalaya in Hambanthota. Major General C.S. Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG, the General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, placed a new statue of Lord Buddha in the newly built shrine room on 23 May 2024.

Under the directions of the General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, Major General C.S Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG, 3 Sri Lanka National Guard troops engaged in a cleaning endeavour on 02 June 2024, supervised by the Commander of the 122 Infantry Brigade, Colonel K.H.M.U.B Kolongahapitiya USP. The operation aimed to address the issue caused by heavy rainfall, which resulted in the sluice gates of Athpitiya Anicut becoming obstructed with solid waste.

Laying of foundation stone was done at the auspicious time on 11th of May 2024 for a house to be constructed by 12 Infantry Division for another needy family. Mr. Asanka Dilip Priyadarshana of 4 members with 2 children, lives in Viharamahadevipura Grama Niladari Division at Hambantota District is the beneficiary of this house. Mr. G. Korathota form Pannipitiya provided finical assistance for this meritorious work.

This endeavor was sponsored by Mr. Chaminda Welegama, coordinated under the guidance of Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Division.

In response to a request from University of Moratuwa students and visually impaired individuals, under the guidance of Major General S.R.B Aluvihare RWP RSP VSP, the Commander of the Security Forces - Central, the 19 Sri Lanka National Guard (19 SLNG) provided accommodations and meals during their pilgrimage to historical Adam's Peak from 01 May 2024 to 02 May 2024.
