In conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the Army, the troop of 12 Infantry Division conducted a community oriented program at the Vadihitikanda Rajamaha Viharaya premises on 13 August 2024. to remove the garbage thrown by the devotees who come to worship the Esala full moon day. The cleaning up program was carried out under the guidance of Major General PKWWMJSBW Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc the GOC 12 Infantry Division.

In line with 75 Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, 18 GW Battalion troops of the 121 Infantry Brigade under the 12 Infantry Division constructed Second new house for a needy family at Maligawila with Army coordinated sponsorship and vested it to the beneficiary family.

Simultaneous with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, 12th Inf Division distribute grade 5 scholarship model papers to target students in Hambantota and Monaragala districts with the instruction and guidance of Maj Gen JSBW Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndc psc GOC 12 Inf Div. Total 3500 model papers were distributed among students at both districts on 14 and 15 August 2024. The program was sponsored by Mr.Prasad Lokubalasuriya and Mr.Bojaya Kasun of Old Boys Association Royal College – Colombo.

On 25.07.2024, a forest fire broke out in the morning of 26.07.2024 in Kaluambathanna hill area of the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) and as per the instructions of the Security Forces (Central) Commander, the duty officers and other officers of this headquarters and other rankers of the 23rd Vijayaba Regiment (04x45) A group of people were directed to those places and made a strong effort to suppress the fire completely.
