Base on an information received to the troops of Military Intelligence attached to the 12 Infantry Division and 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment together with the officials of Department of Wildlife Conservation – Kataragama located and destroyed three no of Canabies Chenas inside the Block no 4 of Yala National Park on 14 January 2025 Approximately 163000 no of Cnanabies plants were located and destroyed in situ. The legal proceedings will be conducted by the officials of Wildlife Conservation – Kataragama.
