12 INFANTRY DIVISION TROOPS ASSIST IN DOUSING WILDFIRE AT HENAWALA KANDA FOREST RESERVE

Troops of the 18 Gemunu Watch swiftly responded to the request made by the Disaster Management Centre - Monaragala and doused the wildfire occurred in Monaragala, Henawala Kanda forest reserve on 24 February 2025.

Over 25 troops of 18 Battalion of the Gamunu Watch engaged in dousing fire, under the guidance of Major General W S N Hemarathna RWP RSP psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division and the supervision of the Commanding Officer of 18 GW.
