In line with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, under the guidance of Major General PKWWMJSBW Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, troops of 12 Infantry Division color washed the building complex which included four buildings at “Sarana Blind Elders” Home” at Dehigahalanda, Ambalanthota.

Two Shramadana Campaigns were conducted by the troops of 18 Battalion of Gamunu Watch on 22 August 2024 coinciding with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army. During the project troops cleaned the premises of Gangarama Temple – Kubukkana and Madurukatiya Children Development Center – Monaragala.

Coinciding with 75th anniversary of the sri lanka army the troops belongs to 20 Sri lanka Sinha Regement under the guidance of Maj Gen JSBW Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndc psc Generl Officer Commanding of the 12 infantry division, under supervision of commander 121 Infantry Brigade conducted cleaning up program at meth sewa foundation home premises and facilitate to inmates at Handapanagala Wallawaya on 17 August 2024.

In conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the Army, the troop of 12 Infantry Division conducted a community oriented program at the Vadihitikanda Rajamaha Viharaya premises on 13 August 2024. to remove the garbage thrown by the devotees who come to worship the Esala full moon day. The cleaning up program was carried out under the guidance of Major General PKWWMJSBW Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc the GOC 12 Infantry Division.

In line with 75 Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, 18 GW Battalion troops of the 121 Infantry Brigade under the 12 Infantry Division constructed Second new house for a needy family at Maligawila with Army coordinated sponsorship and vested it to the beneficiary family.

Simultaneous with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, 12th Inf Division distribute grade 5 scholarship model papers to target students in Hambantota and Monaragala districts with the instruction and guidance of Maj Gen JSBW Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndc psc GOC 12 Inf Div. Total 3500 model papers were distributed among students at both districts on 14 and 15 August 2024. The program was sponsored by Mr.Prasad Lokubalasuriya and Mr.Bojaya Kasun of Old Boys Association Royal College – Colombo.

In line with 75 Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, 3rd Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard troops of the 122 Infantry Brigade in the 12 Infantry Division under the Security Force Headquarters – Central constructed a new house for a needy family at Sella Kataragama with Army coordinated sponsorship and vested it to the beneficiary family on 06 August 2024.

In collaboration with Indian Army the annual Combined Training Exercise “Mitra Shakthi X” is scheduled to be held from 12 August 2024 to 25 August 2024 at Army Training School at Maduruoya with participation of members of Armed Forces of Sri Lanka and India.
