    A delegation from DSCSC Bangladesh visited Temple of Tooth Relic which is located in 11 Division AOR on 28 November 2108. With the direction of the Comd SF HQ (Cen) Major General W R P De Silva USP ndu IG and supervision and Comd 11 Div Major General T J Nanayakkara RWP RSP ndu, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the senior officers of 11 Division.

    With the directions of the Commander Security Forces Central , Maj Gen W R P De Silva USP ndu IG and the General Officer Commanding, 11 Division a group of Senior Officers in the 11 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Central extended a warm welcome to a delegation of tri-service personnel of the Indian Armed Forces when they arrived in Kandy to pay homage to the sacred Temple of Tooth on Sunday (11).

  • ARMY TROOPS RECOVERED THE DEAD BODY OF A GERMAN LADY WHO HAD ACCIDENTLY FALLEN FROM WORLD'S END

    Upon the request by the Police, dead body of 35 years old German lady who had accidently fallen from the world's end cliff top on 11 Nov 2018 at about 0730 hrs was recovered by the SF Central troops around 2100 hrs on 12 Nov 2018. The task was carried out under the close supervision of Comd, 112 Bde, Brig N W A A Wijesooriya RWP RSP USP under the direction of the Comd Security Forces Central, Maj Gen W R P De Silva USP ndc IG.

  • TROOPS ASSIST RESUMPTION OF TRAIN SERVICES

    SF (Cen) troops assisted to clear the railway track which was obstructed by a earth slip near Kinigama railway station in Bandarawela Division secretariat area. 01 x 17 troops with the directions of Comd SF (Cen), Maj Gen WRP De Silva USP ndu IG, went to the loc and after two hours of hard effect they manage to re open the railway track for railway transport.

  • US EMBASSY OFFICIALS OFFER HELP IN CIMIC TRAINING

    Two Colombo-based US embassy officials with the objective of providing knowledge on management of civil affairs to Army troops in different courses, held preliminary discussions to the same effect at the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-Cen) on Wednesday (31).

  • CENTRAL TROOPS SUPPORT BLOOD DONATION PROGRAMME

  • WORKSHOP ON ‘IHL’ EDUCATES ARMY PERSONNEL

    A workshop to educate Army personnel in all formations under the Security Force Headquarters – Central (SFHQ-Cen) on ‘International Humanitarian Law’ took place on Wednesday (31) at the Volunteer Force Training School (VFTS) in Diyatalawa.

  • VISIT OF THE COMMANDER OF THE NAVY OF MYANMAR TO 11 DIVISION AOR

    Delegation with the Commander of the Navy of the Myanmar visited 11 Division AOR under Security Forces Central on 23 October 2018. Myanmar Commander of the Navy and the delegation was welcomed by the GOC 11 Division Maj Gen T J Nanayakkara RWP USP ndu. Subsequently, the delegation was visited to Temple of Tooth Relic and Museum. Commander 111 Brigade and senior officers participated at the occasion.

  • 12 DIVISION CONDUCTED A ANOTHER CHARITY WORK

    12 Division assisted to construct a water tank on 09 Oct 18. Where, 02 x 60 troops from 12 Division assisted in transporting raw materials required for the construction of the tank bund, in particular, troops carried these raw materials by foot in acritical route stretched about 1Km. On completion of the work, troops and the Army were appreciated by monks and people. The charity work was done with instruction of the Commander of the Army after a request from Manikhinna Dhammanushawa Thero of the Wijeyarama Monastery Bowalawaththa.
