  • 12 INFANTRY DIVISION CONDUCTED A CHILDREN DAY PROGRAM

    To mark the World Children’s Day, with sponsorship provided by Old Boys’ Association (Australian Branch) of Kalutara Vidyalaya which was coordinated by Maj Amith Pushpakumara SLA, 30 students of Munasinghe Primary School and 175 students of Helagama Primary School in Monaragala District were participated for the program on 01 October 2024. The distribution of school shoes and accessories for each student was took place at Helagama Primary School premises.

Guidance Of General Officer Commanding of the 12th Infantry Division. under the Supervision of the 122 Infantry Brigade Commander, it was successfully carried out on 24th September 2024 In Conjunction With The 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army. Participation of 01x25 Troops of the 122 Infantry Brigade and 12 GR Battalion.

  • 112 INFANTRY BRIGADE TROOPS FIGHT AGAINST WILDFIRES

    On the guidance of Commander to 112 Infantry Brigade and troops attached to 112 Infantry Brigade headquarters - Badulla made their way untiring efforts to douse the wildfires. Troops under command to 112 Infantry Brigade and 2nd Batttalion Sri lanka Rife Corps (04x48) rushed to made control wildfires, sparked in general area 2 mile post Glanpine estate in Badulla 1830hrs on 23 September 2024. . The solid efforts of Army firefighters were able to completely control and save further speeding fire. There were no damages to civilian lives or properties were reported.

  • 11 DIV TROOPS ASSIST TO MAHIYANGANAYA TEMPLE – PROCESSION

    The annual procession held at the historic Mahiyangana Rajamaha Vihara was successfully conducted with the contribution of the army. Its last Randoli Perahera was held on 17.09.2024 andMajor General K A U Kodithuwakku RSP USP psc IG (O/62055) Senior Officer participated in this program.

  • CENTRAL TROOPS FIGHT AGAINST WILDFIRES

    On the guidance of Commander Security Force (Central) Major General GMN Perera Rwp RSP USP ndc, troops attached to security force headquarters - Diyatalawa made their way untiring efforts to douse the wildfires. Troops belong to SF hq central and 23 Vijayaba Regiment (03x62) rushed to made control wildfires, sparked in general area Gal eadanda in Diyatalawaat 2030hrs on 21 September 2024. . The solid efforts of army firefighters were able to save mass of 10 acres of gungale from wildfires in above areas, and no damages to civilian lives or properties were reported.

  • INTERLOCK COMPOUND FOR ABHAYAPURA SURANIMALA PRIMARY SCHOOL

    In conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, troops of 122 Infantry Brigade help with construct an interlock compound at Abhayapura Suranimala Primary School - Hambantota. Accordingly, school authority provided the construction material and resource, while Army troops lent their technical expertise and manpower to complete the project.
