Upon a request made by the Disaster Management Centre Monaragala 18 th Gemunu Watch troops, along with farmers of Karagahawela Village, immediately attend and prevented the erosion of the bund of Alawaththa Kumbura Tank in Bibila. The tank bund was slightly damaged. Promptly addressing by the troops successfully repaired the damaged on 26 January 2025.
Under the direction of the General Officer Commanding of 12 Infantry Division, a dedicated team of 18 GW, comprising 01 Officer and 30 Other Ranks engaged in the repair with the support of local farmers, demonstrating a strong sense of community partnership.
