  • 2020 INTER SQUADRON CRICKET AND VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT 10 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT ENDS WITH HIGH SPORTSMANSHIP

    103 Field Squadron crowned as the champions in the Inter Squadron Volleyball tournament while 100 HQ Squadron crowned as the champions in the Inter Squadron Cricket tournament which was held at Myliddy camp premises on 15th and 16th August 2020. The first round matches were held from 25th to 30th July 2020 with the participation of all Squadrons. Where 103 Field Squadron competed with 101 Field Squadron for the Volleyball championship final and 103 Field Squadron competed with 100 HQ Squadron in the Cricket championship final. Commanding Officer of 10 Field Engineer Regiment, Major W K S T Kannangara psc SLE graced the occasion as the day’s chief guest.

  • 13TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF 10 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT LIONIZED WITH CONTENTMENT

    The 13th Anniversary of 10 Field Engineer Regiment held on 14 August 2020, showcasing glamour and pride in a grand scale. The anniversary day celebrations included Guard Turn Out and Ceremonial Parade for the Commanding Officer and All Ranks lunch. 10 SLE (RFT) was raised on 03rd August 2007 in Myliddy and on 12 July 2011 re-designated as 10 Field Engineer Regiment and relocated in Myliddy under SFHQ(J).

    During a visit made by HE the president to the Deraniyagla area on 18 July 20, the residents and children of the area were requested that play ground of the Siri Saman National School in Deraniyagla to be renovate.

    Multitasking Army troops of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers who swiftly acted upon the directions of Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army and supervision of the Chief of Staff of the Army and the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Major General Jagath Gunawardena, have undertaken several multi-faceted development-oriented community projects in schools and other places during past few days.

  • WHEEL CHAIR DONATION PROGRAMME CONDUCTED BY SEVA VANITHA BRANCH CORPS OF ENGINEERS

    Seva Vanitha Branch - Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers (SVB - SLE) distributed 7 wheel chairs for differently abled soldiers. Following gentlemen have been sponsored for the wheel chairs and the sponsorship coordinated by Mrs Dilupa Warahena.

  • OPENING OF NEW PALALI TANK “RAVINDU WAPI” CONSTRUCTED BY 10 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

    Creating another glorious remark in the history of 10 Field Engineer Regiment, newly constructed tank named “Ravindu Wapi” was declared open by the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General LHSC Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc on 18th July 2020 with the invitation of Commander of Security Forces Jaffna, Major General PR Wanigasooriya VSV USP ndu USAGCSC. This tank was raised in the concept preserving of seasonal rain water collected in the Jaffna land, honoring the ancient king Parakramabahu’s saying “not even a little water that comes from the rain must flow into the ocean without being made useful to man".

  • SEVA VANITHA BRANCH CORPS OF ENGINEERS RECEIVED FINANCIAL DONATION BY DOCTOR CHANDANA GALAPPATHTHI TO UPLIFT LIVING STANDARD OF A SAPPER MEMBER

    At present the Corps, together with the Corps of Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch has launched several projects to ensure the well being of the differently abled soldiers and families of war heroes who had sacrificed their lives and had gone missing during the conflict. Offering scholarships for the beneficiaries of dead, differently abled and serving soldiers, providing financial support to uplift their living standard by donating houses, bathroom fittings and provide medical assistance such as donating wheel chairs, artificial limbs and walking aids are some of the main activities conducts by the Corps of Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch.

    4 (V) Engineer Regiment Sappers’ family bid greetings to the newly appointed Commanding Officer with an investiture ceremony. Maj S K Warahena USP SLE assumed duties as the 34th Commanding Officer of 4 (V) Engineer Regiment SLE on 07 July 2020 with the blessings of Triple Gems. Welcoming ceremony included a Guard Turnout and a formal Troop address.
