  • FALLING OUT CEREMONY - BASIC PROVOST COURSE NO – 79

    22nd October 2021 10:26:45 Hours

    The Falling out ceremony of Provost Course No – 79 was held on 11th October 2021 at School of Military Police – Giritale premises. Newly trained 166 recruits from the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) were passed out after completing the course.

  • NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDER FORWARD MAINTENANCE AREA (MULLAITIVU) ASSUMED DUTIES AT HIS OFFICE

    The Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) and newly appointed Commander Forward Maintenance Area – Mullaitivu (Comd FMA – MLT) Brigadier Anil Illangakoon assumed duties as the 16th Commander Forward Maintenance Area – Mullaitivu on 15 September 2021 which is deployed under Security Forces Headquarter - Mullaitivu.

  • BRIGADIER AL ILLANGAKOON ASSUMED DUTIES AS THE COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE

    The Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army Brigadier Anil Illangakoon assumed the duties as 10th Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) on 02 August 2021. The brief event held at Regimental Centre SLCMP Polhengoda. The formalities carried out in accordance with health guidelines. The Centre Commandant Brigadier Lakshman Bamunusinghe welcomed the new Colonel Commandant to the Regimental premises and a ceremonial guard turnout accorded to the Senior Officer on his arrival. The Colonel Commandant took over the office with the religious blessings. Event concluded with a formal tea for Senior Officers and Regimental Sergeant Majors. The Senior Officers, Officers and other ranks participated to the event

  • SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE BIDS FAREWELL TO OUTGOING COLONEL COMMANDANT

    The outgoing Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) Major General LPR Premalal USP was awarded with military honours and greetings at the Regimental Centre - Polhengoda. The Ceremonial formalities with Guard Turnout and a Guard of honour accorded to the outgoing Colonel Commandant on 31 July 2021. The event included a group Photograph, Tea at Warrant Officers’ and Sergeant Mess’ followed by a troop address. All ranks of SLCMP offered their gratitude and greetings to the outgoing Colonel Commandant on his departure.

  • REGIMENTAL LIBRARY OF SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE DECLARED OPEN BY THE COLONEL COMMANDANT

    Newly constructed Regimental Library of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police declared open by the Commander Logistic Command and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Major General Ranjan Premalal on 26 July 2021. A brief ceremony was held to unveil the commemorative inscription of the Library. This long-felt requirement of the troops enables them to use their leisure time productively and improve their knowledge on wide variety of subjects through reading. Centre Commandant - Brigadier lakshman Bamunusinghe , Commanding Officer Special Investigation Unit – Colonel Ravindra Abeysinghe, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated to the event.

    The Commander Logistic command and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) Major General Ranjan Premalal USP, made his courtesy visits to the 2 SLCMP and School of Military Police (Sch of MP) - Girithale , 1 SLCMP and Special Investigation Unit (SIU) - Polhengoda and 7 SLCMP - Diyatalawa on 17,20 and 22 July 2021 respectively prior to his Retirement.

  • PROVOST MUSEUM DECLARED OPEN BY THE COLONEL COMMANDANT

    Parallel to the Regimental day in view of presenting 71 years of the proud history (from 1949 to 2021) of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) to the present and future members of the Sri Lanka army, newly constructed Provost Museum conceptualized by the Colonel commandant SLCMP has declared open by the Major General Ranjan Premalal USP Commander Logistic Command and Colonel Commandant SLCMP on 22 April 2021 at the Regimental Centre - Polhengoda.

  • 31ST ANNIVERSARY DAY CELEBRATION OF SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE

    31st Regimental Day celebration of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) was held on 22 April 2021 at the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Regimental Centre Polhengoda.

  • 31st REGIMENTAL CORPS DAY – COMMEMORATION OF FALLEN WAR HEROES

    Commemoration ceremony of Fallen War Heroes parallel to the 31st Regimental Corps Day of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) was held at 2 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Girithale on 19 March 2021. The event was organized by the 2 SLCMP under the patronage of Commander Logistic Command and Colonel Commandant Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Major General Ranjan Premalal USP. NOKs of fallen war heroes were invited by the regimental Centre in which several NOKs with their families participated to the event. The ceremony commenced in front of the War Heroes’ Monument at 2 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police premises from 1600 hrs with the multi religious blessings. Floral tributes were paid for the fallen war heroes for their supreme sacrifices for the motherland. Remembrance ceremony concluded with the bugle tributes for the fallen war heroes in the sunset. Together with Colonel Commandant, Provost Marshal Brigadier Anil Illangakoon, Centre Commandant Colonel Lakshman Bamunusinghe, Senior Officers, Officers, Regimental Sergeant Majors, few Senior Non – Commissioned Officers & Non – Commissioned Officers also participated to the event
