  • NEW PROVOST MARSHAL MEETS COLONEL COMMANDANT

    Newly appointed Provost Marshal - Sri Lanka Army, Major General ACA de Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc has made a courtesy call to the Colonel Commandant - Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Major General AL Illangakoon on 28 March 2023 at Colonel Commandant's Office at Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police - Polhengoda after assuming his Office as the Provost Marshal. Two senior Officers has discussed the pertinent matters of the Regiment and actions to be concerned for its future betterment during the meeting.

    Major General ACA De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, assumed duties as the 14th Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army on 13 March 2023 amidst religious observances at the Directorate of Provost, Army Headquarters.

  • SLCMP HQ BIDS FAREWELL TO RETIRING FORMER PROVOST MARSHAL OF SRI LANKA ARMY

    The retiring Brigadier BLR Bamunusinghe on Thursday (02 March) during a formal farewell ceremony, at Regimental Headquarters of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Polhengoda, was saluted in accordance with military traditions.

    A Guard Turnout at the entrance upon his arrival saluted him before he was invited to receive the salute in the farewell parade, presented at RHQ parade square on his behalf. During the formal troop address, He thanked the Commander of the Army, all PSOs, the Colonel Commandant, all Officers of Provost family and all ranks for the support they extended during his tenure and urged them to cooperate with the incoming Provost Marshal in the same manner while safeguarding the reputation of the organization.

    Later in the evening, a customary farewell dinner was hosted to the retiring senior officer with participating Provost Officers and their spouses. The Colonel Commandant of SLCMP delivered the farewell note extending a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation for the service of Brig Lakshman Bamunusinghe while recalling some of the salient achievements, milestone and memories of the senior officer.

    The Commander FMA (MLT) and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General AL Illangakoon, The Commander FMA (North), Major General ACA De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, Council members, Senior Officers and Officers participated in the formal ceremony.

  • NEW CONSTRUCTIONS AT THE 7 SLCMP WERE DECLARED OPEN BY THE COLONEL COMMANDANT

    Newly constructed Officers' Mess, Q stores and 'Budu Medura' at the 7 Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police - Diyathalawa were declared open by the Commander FMA (MLT) and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General AL Illangakoon on the invitation of Commanding Officer - 7 SLCMP, Major SNK Halangoda USP psc Lsc on 28th January 2023 in parallel to the Colonel Commandant's visit to the unit. The Commander FMA (North), Brigadier ACA De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, Center Commandant RHQ SLCMP, Col AMR Abeysinghe and other senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the regiment were participated for the event.

  • OFFICERS TRAINING DAY PROGRAMME

    The first Officers' Training Day Programme in the year 2023 of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police was held in the 7th Regiment of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police premises on 28th January 2023. The programme included a Physical Training session, Individual and Group presentations and a Diners Club event which was conducted by Motivational Lecturer Mr TCAK De Silva. The training programme was organized by the 4th Regiment of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police. The Col Commandant Maj Gen AL Illangakoon and Senior/Junior officers of SLCMP participated the events.''

    The Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General AL Illangakoon paid a median visit to the 4th Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 20.01.2023.

  • SLCMP SEVA VANITHA BRANCH CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS WITH SCHOOL EQUIPMENT DONATION PROGRAMME

    To coincide with Christmas celebrations, the Seva Vanitha Branch - Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police organized a school equipment donation programme at RHQ SLCMP premises. The Chief Guest for the event was the Commander Forward Maintenance Area (Mullaitivu) and the Colonel Commandant Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Major General Anil Illangakoon accompanied by the President Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Inoka Illangakoon. 34 packs of school equipment and toys were distributed among the children of staff members of the regiment at the occasion.

  • SEVA VANITHA BRANCH OF THE SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE LED BY MRS INOKA ILLANGAKOON, PAID A VISIT TO ‘ABIMANSALA-1’ WELLNESS RESORT AT ANURADHAPURA.

    Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police led by Mrs Inoka Illangakoon, paid a visit to ‘Abimansala-1’ wellness resort at Anuradhapura on 02 December 2022. During the visit, inmates enjoyed the music whilst having snacks and tea with the guests who attended the event.

  • CONTRUCTED NEW HOUSE FOR A RETIRED PROVOST MEMBER

    The handing over ceremony of newly constructed house to S/677906 WO 1 SGN Kumari (Retired) of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police was held on 28 October 2022 at Kadurupokuna, Tangalle, under the patronage of the Commander Forward Maintenance Area (MLT) & Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General AL Illangakoon.
