The Commander FMA (MLT) and the Colonel commandant of Sri Lanka corps of Military Police Major General AL Ilangakoon made his official visit before his retirement to the 6th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police at Mullaitivu on 7th May 2023.where he was warmely welcomed by The Commanding Officer 6 SLCMP, with a guard turn out at the entrance.

The newly appointed Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General ACA De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc made his maiden visit to the 2nd Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police at Giritale on 25th April 2023 where he was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer 2 SLCMP Major NPEN Nerangama Usp Lsc after he was greeted with a Guard Turnout at the entrance.

The Commander FMA (MLT) and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Crops of Military Police Major General AL Illangakoon made an official visit to 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Crops of Military Police on 01 May 2023 prior to his retirement. On his arrival the Commanding Officer of 5 SLCMP, Major Manoj Suddagala warmly welcomed the Col Comdt at main entrance then he was accorded with a guard turnout and followed by sapling of a tree, Group photographs, troops address at the Lecture hall. Subsequently All Ranks tea took place at Cpl’s club and day’s proceedings were culminated with lunch at Officer’s Mess and finally departed symbolically signing the visitors book.

The Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police commemorated its 33rd anniversary on 27th and 28th April 2023 in a colorful and vibrant ceremony, held at the Regimental Centre, Polhengoda in the presence of the Colonel Commandant Major General AL Illanagakoon , the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army, Regimental Council members, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks.

Perahera, Pirith Chanting and Alms Giving Ceremonies were held at Regimental Head Quarters of SLCMP on 19th and 20th April 2023 by remaking 33rd Anniversary Day Celebration of Regimental Centre. Colonel Commandant Major General AL Illangakoon, Provost Marshal Sri Lanka Army Major General ACA De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc. Past Colonel Commandants, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, Retried Officers and Other Ranks with the members of provost ladies club and family members of war veterans participated for the event.

The 6 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police together with the Seva Vanitha Branch SLCMP, organized a beneficiary programme for patients/their NOKs, who belongs to SLCMP and undergo medical treatments for critical illnesses at RHQ SLCMP on 08 April 2023. The event was organized by all Officers and Other Ranks of 6 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, under the instructions and the guidance provided by Mrs Inoka Illangakoon, the president of Seva Vanitha Branch, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police. During the event ration packs and fruit baskets were distributed among 13 Officers, Other Ranks, Civil Staff and their NOKs, which those who are undergoing medical treatments for critical illnesses, along with a visit at Army Hospital –Narahenpita. The Commander of Forward Maintenance Area (Mullaithivu) and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Major General AL Illangakoon, graced the occasion. Senior members of Seva Vanitha Branch, Brigadier AMR Abeysinghe, the Centre Commandant of Regimental Centre - Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, the Commanding Officer of 6 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Officers and ORs were taken part in the event.

The Regimental Headquarters, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) hosted a colorful farewell parade on 08 April 2023 for one of its proud Senior Officer, Brigadier DMA Bandara, who retired after a dedicated service rendered more than three decades.
