"EMPOWERING ARMY WIVES"

In a commendable initiative to support and empower the backbone of the military community, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police recently organized a monthly meeting featuring a guest lecture on the crucial and often overlooked "Role of Army Wives". This masterpiece was initiated with the idea of the Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc. The lecture was conducted aiming to shed light on the multifaceted responsibilities, challenges, and contributions of military wife by Lieutenant Colonel Sujith Edirisinghe from Directorate of Psychological Operation.

As per the day's proceedings, the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Priyanthika De Zoysa graced the monthly meeting held at the Officers Mess. Thereafter, the comprehensive lecture was conducted to the 10 x members of the Sava Vanitha Branch, 12 x SLCMP Lady Officers and 100 x WMPs. The lecturer, highlighted the background in military family support, delved into the various dimensions of the Army wife's role. Further, practical tips on managing stress, maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and fostering a strong sense of community were also shared.
