After assuming duties as the Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major Gen A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc paid his second official visit to the 7th Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Diyatalawa on 13 September 2023.
Upon his arrival, the Colonel Commandant, was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 7 SLCMP Major S N K Halangoda USP psc Lsc along with the all Officers of 7 SLCMP. In honour of the official visit as the Operational and Administrative Commander of the SLCMP, the Senior Officer was accorded a traditional Guard Turnout at the doorstep of the unit.
The simple warming ceremony got to a start with unveiling the newly erected Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess by the day's chief Guest, the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major Gen A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, which bears modern features and comprised of a spacious dining hall, Bar, TV room and a Kitchen and several other facilities , fulfills a longstanding requirement of the Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SLCMP for a proper facility meets with required professional standards..
Afterwards, charming ceremonial proceedings were held including a troops address in which the Provost Marshal and the Colonel Commandant expressed his visionary ideas, guidance, values of soldering as a Provost in contemporary situation and military wellbeing. Moreover, he highlighted the importance of discipline at all levels, maintenance of proper coordination of communication, and continuation of excellent dedicated service.
The Centre Commandant, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the unit attended to the event.
