  • SLAWC SEVA VANITH BRANCH’S ‘RANAVIRU ABHINANDANA POOJA 2023’ BENEFITS CHILDREN OF OTHER RANKS & CIVIL STAFF SERVING UNDER THE RC SLAWC

    The Sri Lanka army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha Branch organized a distribution of school accessories for students in the families of Other Ranks and Civil Staff serving under the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps, named ‘Ranaviru Abhinandana Pooja 2023’. Accordingly, 57 children of Other Ranks and Civil Staff received those school aid packs, each worth Rs. 20000.00 on Saturday (November 11) during a ceremony at Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps premises in Borella.

  • THE FOUNDATION STONE FOR THE SLAWC RANAVIRU MEMORIAL WAS LAID BY COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY WOMEN'S CORPS

    The foundation stone of SLAWC War Heroes Memorial was laid as an auspicious moment with the Buddhist religious activities on 06 July 2023 at the Regimental Center premises in Borella, according to the directions and guidances of Major General U D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps and Commander Security Force Headquarters – East in order to commemorate twenty five women fallen war heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation during the operational period in the country, served under the Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps and with the noble concept of raising the pride of the regimental center.

  • COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE SLAWC VISITS BATTALIONS AND THE SLAWC TRAINING SCHOOL

    Major General Darshana Wijesekera, Commander Security Forces- Mullativu and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps conducted an official visit to the SLAWC battalions and the SLAWC Training School on 24, 27 and 28 March 2023.

  • SLAWC SEVA VANITHA BRANCH LAUNGHED ANOTHER CHARITY PROGRAMME

    Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha Branch made another humanitarian intervention by extending a helping hand to the 200 children of Chemmaley Tamil School and Kokilai Sinhala College at Mullative on 28th February 2023 by distributing necessary school accessories. During this kind of hearted project, they distributed necessary school items for these children to overcome hardships in their life. This project was launched with the Co-sponsorships of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha branch and sponsorship from past Royalist at the Colombo Royal College and together with a group of scholars from the University of Sri Jayawardanapura.

    The occasion was graced by Maj Gen UD Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc - Commander Security Forces (Mullative) and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps along with the President of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Shyamali Wijesekera.

  • THE COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SLAWC HOSTED THE REGIMENTAL COUNCIL 2023

    The RC SLAWC hosted the Regimental Council on February 6, 2023. Major General UD Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Commander Security Force Headquarters (MLT), and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps graced the council with their presence.

    The Officers and Other Ranks of the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps, arranged a series of events to convey their heartiest gratitude for the distinguished service rendered by the 17th Outgoing Centre Commandant Brig Chaminda Thibbotuge on 16th December 2022 at the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps. The ceremonial formalities were commenced with a Guard Turnout, , All Ranks Tea, Troop Address and Farewell Dinner.

The series of ceremonies was organized at the SLAWC Regimenatal HQ premises in Kynsey Road, Borella under the patronage of Chief Field Engineer and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps, Major General MK Jayawardane RSP USP ndu.

  • ORGANIZING A DISTINCTIVE PROGRAMME IN HONOUR OF REGIMENTAL CORPS DAY

    Regimental Headquarters of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps along with the community of ‘ SUWADARU ’ which is a concept developed by Mr Prasad Lokubalasuriya, the Old Boys Association of Royal College-Colombo 07, Old Students Union of University of Sri Jayawardanepura, and the members of fund raising committee of ‘ නිරෝගීකම අගයන සකල ශ්‍රිලංකාවාසී/ලෝකවාසී මිතුරුකැල’ , Professor Samanthi Senarathne, Miss Niluka Wickramarachchi Pieris, Miss Ishaka Liyanarachchi and Miss Kaushalya Jayathilake organized an extraordinary programme for children with special needs at the Camila School in Mattegoda on the 14th of November 2022.
