Major General RADP Ranawaka RWP RSP USP ndc assumed duties as the 21 Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) on 20 June 2022 during a simple ceremony, held at the SLAWC Regimental Headquarters, Borella.

Women soldiers of the Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps bound for the United Nation Interim Force in Lebanon presented the customary salute to the head of the organization General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defense Staff and Commander of the Army on 30th January 2022 at Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regimental Headquarters , Panagoda.

The 96th Commissioning Ceremony of the Sri Lanka Military Academy was held triumphantly on 18th and 19th December 2021 with the presence of the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Gotabaya Rajapaksha. Out of 34 Lady Officer Cadets; 11 Lady Officer Cadets from Regular Lady Officer Cadet Intake 89(B), 18 (A) and volunteer Lady Intake 17 were graduated to render their services to the Sri Lanka Army and the country by joining Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps.

Inter Regiment Tug of War Tournament 2021 was organized in conjunction with the 57 Sri Lanka Army Athletic Meet on 26th and 27th of October 2021 at the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Regimental Center Ground, Panagoda by adhering to the strict health guidelines given to prevent COVID 19 pandemic.
