    The finals and the awarding ceremony of Inter Regiment Net Ball Championship was held on 22nd of April 2021 at Panagoda Indoor Gymnasium and Chief of Defence Staff and the Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhill graced the event as the chief guest.

    The Shrine room was declared on 28th March 2021 at Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps training school Kaluaggala with the guidance of the colonel commandant of RHQ SLAWC Maj Gen WLPW Perera RWP RSP ndu and the supervision of the Centre Commandant Of RHQ SLAWC Brigadier RMJB Rathnayaka RSP, and the contribution of all ranks of Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps.

  • SLAWC Regimental Sergeant Majors Attend Workshop on Drills

    On a concept of the Colonel Commandant – SLAWC, Major General Priyantha Perera, a workshop for Regimental Sergeant Majors (RSMs) and Drill Instructors (DIs) serving in all battalions under the RHQ SLAWC organized on 18th September 2020 at the 59 Division Headquarters in Mulativ. Colonel Commandant SLAWC delivered the opening address exposing the objective of the workshop. The Centre Commandant Brigadier Janaka Rathnayake SLAWC, SO I (Additional), Commanding Officers of 1SLAWC, 7SLAWC and 3(V)SLAWC participated for the programme.

    Major General Priyantha Perera assumed duties as the 20th Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps ( SLAWC ) on 08 September 2020 at the RHQ SLAWC Borella. On his arrival at the SLAWC premises the Colonel Commandant Major General Priyantha Perera was warmly received by the Center Commandant of RHQ SLAWC, Brigadier Janaka Rathnayake and was a accorded with a Guard Turnout by the troops of the 1SLAWC.

  • Retiring SLAWC Colonel Commandant Honoured in Military Salutes

    The outgoing Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Major General Prasanna Chandrasekere was honoured on 05 September 2020 at the regimental centre SLA at Panagoda with a formal farewell ceremony. The outgoing colonel commandant was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant SLAWC, Brigadier Janaka Rathnayake and was accorded with a guard Turnout, Guard of Honor and farewell dinner night by the officers and troops of SLAWC. The Center Commandant SLAWC, senior officers, officers and other ranks of SLAWC were present at the event.

  • SRI LANKA ARMY WOMENS CORPS CONDUCTED A "DINERS’ CLUB" PROGRAMME

    Sri Lanka Army Womens Corps conducted a "Diners’ Club" programme on 8th July 2020 to coincide with the officers’ training day at the Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment Officers’ mess. The lecture was conducted by Veteran Personality Development Lecturer Mrs.Aruni Wickramage. All arrangements for the programme were facilitated by, The Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s’ Corps Brigadier Janaka Rathnayake on the guidance given by, The Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps and Master General Ordnance(MGO) Major General Prasanna Chandrasekere. The Director Training Brigadier Nishantha Herath and The Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment Brigadier Sumith Premala participated to the occasion as invitees. More than 90 officers were participated for the event.

  • SRI LANKA ARMY WOMEN’S CORPS TRAINING SCHOOL WAS OFFICIALLY OPENED

    Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Training School - Kaluaggala was officially opened by The Commander of Security Force Headquarters (WEST) and The Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Major General Jayantha Senevirathne on 31 July 2020. The opening ceremony was conducted under the guidance of the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps and Master General Ordinance (MGO) Major General Prasanna Chandrasekere and The Center Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Brigadier Janaka Rathnayake. Few senior and junior officers were participated for the event.
