4th BATTALION OF SRI LANKA ARMY WOMEN’S CORPS WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP OF INTER REGIMENT TUG OF WAR TOURNAMENT.

Inter Regiment Tug of War Tournament 2021 was organized in conjunction with the 57 Sri Lanka Army Athletic Meet on 26th and 27^th of October 2021 at the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Regimental Center Ground, Panagoda by adhering to the strict health guidelines given to prevent COVID 19 pandemic.

This year, eight teams representing from SLASC, SLAGSC and SLAWC were participated and 4th Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps emerged as the champions while 7^th Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps secured the runners up and second runners up was 3^rd Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps in 560kg weight category.

This event was conducted under the guidance of the Commander of the Army and the Commander of One Corps and the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Army Athletic Committee Maj General Hrendra Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndu. The Commander Security Force West , Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest.
