Major General Prasanna Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG Commander Security Forces- EAST and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps conducted an official visit to the 1st Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps – Borella on 19 January 2024.
Respective Commanding Officer of the battalion welcomed the visiting Colonel Commandant with the honour according to the military traditions and briefed the functioning of the battalion and administratively.
Meantime, Major General Prasanna Gunaratne briefed his vision to the Commanding Officer and all Ranks of 1SLAWC during his Troop address. Further He has given necessary instructions pertaining to the training, discipline, security concern and nations building for uplifting the battalion and maintaining the battalion standard in all aspects.
Brigadier Rohan Jayakody, Centre Commandant SLAWC and all staff officers of RC SLAWC attended the visit.
