Coinciding with Childrens’ Day 2024, the Seva Vanitha Branch of SLACAL, organized a school Stationary & Book donation program for 30 deserving school children of ORs from within the Sri Lanka Army Corp of Agriculture and Livestock. This event took place on 19th October '24 under the direction and patronage of the SVB SLACAL President, Mrs Varuni Kulatunge. A memorable event was hosted by the 4 Regiments of SLACAL in their respective battalion locations.

The 5th monthly meeting of the Seva Vanitha Branch - SLACAL for the month of September was held on 28th Sept '24 at the 1st Battalion, Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock - Dombawelagama.

The second phase of the donation of dry ration packs took place at the respective locations of the four battalions of SLACAL, under the direction of the SVB president as an extension to her community care programs.
16 dry ration packs were symbolically donated at the AGM held on 10 August 2024 for soldiers and civil servants of the regiment. A total of 125 parcels including all essential items was organised by the Seva Vanitha Branch president with the help of the Directorate of Agriculture and Livestock
Furthermore the remaining 109 parcels were distributed under the supervision of the Chairperson Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge among all soldiers & civil servants in their respective battalions with the assistance of Colonel Commandant, Centre Commandant, Commandant School of A & L and all Commanding Officers

A gift worth Rs.62,000.00 was donated on September 04, 2024 under the patronage of Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge, the President of Seva vanitha branch, Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock.
A dry ration parcel containing all essential goods worth Rs.12,000.00 and a cash donation of Rs.50,000.00 was made towards the family members of a 2(V) SLACAL soldier who is currently in hospital, undergoing treatment for a severe ailment, fighting for his life.
The President and Secretary of the SVB SLACAL paid a courtesy visit to this soldiers' home/family in Diwulapitiya and spent quality time with the family members.

The fifth AGM of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock SVB was held on 10th August 2024 at the Regimental Centre, Karandeniya. Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge, chairperson of the seva vanitha branch graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
A total of 28 members plus 9 lady officers filled the auditorium at the occasion.
Further, the new committee was elected as per the constitution & a number of key agenda points were discussed for future projects.
The Highlight of the event was the distribution of 125 dry ration packs covering all SLACAL low income soldiers & civil staff
Furthermore, inconjunction with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, a donation of Rs.300,000.00(Three Hundred Thousand) was gifted for the completion of a house being built for a deserving soldier by 2(V)SLACAL.
Finally the Annual General Meeting adjourned with a lunch & fellowship.

A school equipment & book distribution program was held on 19th July 24, marking another milestone mission of the seva vanitha branch of SLACAL. It was organized with the intent of nuturing another social welfare concept initiated by the SLACAL SVB president Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge.

The 4th monthly meeting of SVB - SLACAL was held on July 21,2024 at the SFHQ (East) in Welikanda.President of the Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge presided over the meeting.
During the meeting, many timely & important decisions were discussed and confirmed to uplift the seva vanitha branch as a whole and it's future projects. This was done under the guidance and direction of the president of SVB Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge.
The Committee and other members of SVB SLACAL participated for the above event.
