A school equipment & book distribution program was held on 19th July 24, marking another milestone mission of the seva vanitha branch of SLACAL. It was organized with the intent of nuturing another social welfare concept initiated by the SLACAL SVB president Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge.

The 4th monthly meeting of SVB - SLACAL was held on July 21,2024 at the SFHQ (East) in Welikanda.President of the Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge presided over the meeting.
During the meeting, many timely & important decisions were discussed and confirmed to uplift the seva vanitha branch as a whole and it's future projects. This was done under the guidance and direction of the president of SVB Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge.
The Committee and other members of SVB SLACAL participated for the above event.

On the eve of Poson Poya day, the Seva Vanitha branch of SLACAL organized a stationary donation program for 20 deserving primary school children in-keeping with SLACAL's commitment towards fulfilling social & moral responsibilities.This event was organised
with the aim of elevating the lives of the children, of serving soldiers with-in the 4(V) CAL unit.
The President Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge was invited as chief guest & she seized the opportunity to interact with the soldiers & their families during a brief lunch.
This program was also the brainchild of the president of SLACAL Seva Vanitha branch Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge.
Concluding the donation Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge conducted the monthly meeting related to the Seva Vanitha branch SLACAL at the Battalion headquarter in Gajasinghepura and the days proceedings drew to a close with a visit to the chutney factory since it was a holiday & hygienically safe for viewing. Detailed discussions took place between the president and it's staff for further improvements and expansion on its product portfolio's.
Members of the SVB SLACAL, The Centre Commandant & other senior officers were all a part of this excursion.

The 3rd monthly meeting of SVB - SLACAL was held on 21st June 2024 at the 4(V) SLACAL Headquarters, Gajasinhapura.
President of the Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge presided over the meeting.
During the meeting, many timely & important decisions were discussed and confirmed to uplift the seva vanitha branch as a whole and it's future projects. This was done under the guidance and direction of the president of SVB Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge and simultaneously she also visited the existing projects in the unit.

A benovalant donation of all essential items & hygiene products was gifted by the SVB unit of SLACAL for the Anula Wijerama Children's Development Centre in Balapitiya in lieu of Vesak. This wholesome event brought smiles upon smiles for the 35 Orphaned girls as they were offered a morning Tea, a lunch Buffet, a children's movie & a time filled with fun activities topped with a sing a long.

In commemoration of the 15th Anniversary of the Victory against Terrorism and to invoke merit to those who sacrificed their lives for the motherland, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army Corp of Agriculture & Livestock organized a social service program. The program was spearheaded under the direction, supervision and guidance of the president of Sri Lanka Army Corp of Agriculture & Livestock seva vanitha branch, Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge, on May 19, 2024.

A Donation of 200 plus spectacles was organized by the Seva vanitha branch of 2(V) Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock on 06th May 2024 at the Regimental Headquarter auditorium in Karandeniya
The program was spearheaded under the direction and guidance of Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
The event was arranged in keeping with the welfare objectives of SLACAL, with the intentions of improving the lives of the low income residents from the neighbouring villages in Karandeniya. This generosity was further extended to all serving men and women of SLACAL.
The program was conducted with the generous funding of Mrs. L Perera and the ophthalmology support was rendered by Dr. Anura Gunathilake. Mrs. Anomi Gunasekara & Mrs.R Damayanthi assisted in implementing this programme smoothly to accomplish the desired results.
Commanding officer of 2(V)SLACAL Lt Col. Rasika Kumara & his wife were instrumental in organising this significant event. The committee members and other members of SVB SLACAL, Centre Commandant and Senior officers, officers of RHQ - SLACAL attend this program.

Monthly Meeting of Seva Vanitha Branch-SLACAL
The Monthly Meeting of Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock was held on 04 April 2024 at The Regimental Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Corp of Agriculture and Livestock - Karandeniya.President of Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge presided over the Monthly meeting.
During this meeting the regimental Account Officer Maj. MHC Wishwajith of SLAGSC briefed regarding their ongoing seva vanitha projects which are been carried out by the individual units.
Under the guidance and supervision of the president of Seva Vanitha Branch many important decisions were taken to further improve the existing projects and discussion were made to uplift the Seva Vanitha Branch as a whole.
Committee members and other members of SVB SLACAL participated for the above meeting which was the first monthly meeting under the new president.
