A Comprehensive Donation by Seva Vanitha Branch of SLACAL in lieu of Esala Poya

A social outreach during Esala poya was carried out by the SVB of SLACAL on 21st July 2024 at the Kadawathmaduwa Sri Bodhirukkarama Viharaya.

83 children from low income families studying at the Bodirukkarama 'Daham Pasala' were presented with books,materials for half sarees & national attire. In addition, wall paints and all other materials required for colour washing the 'Darma Shalawa' were donated to the temple. The programme concluded with the offering of meals to the maha Sangha & distribution of lunch packets together with a bottle of milk for all the children

This deed was generously supported by Mr. Lalith Amaranath, Mrs. N Ileperuma & members of SVB SLACAL. The programe was jointly organized by the SFHQ (East) and 3(V) SLACAL in Kandakadu.

Commander - Security Forces (East) & the Colonel Commandant of the SLACAL Major General SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP & SVB President of SLACAL Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge graced the occasion as chief guests. Senior Officers of SLACAL & SFHQ (East) together with members of SVB SLACAL participated for the programe.
