THE SEVA VANITHA BRANCH OF 4(V) SRI LANKA ARMY CORPS OF AGRICULTURE AND LIVESTOCK CONDUCTED TWIN COMMUNITY PROGRAMS IN LIEU OF POSON

A BLOOD DONATION CAMP was held on Friday 21st June '24 at the Cheddikulam Government Hospital in Gajasinhapura.This event was initiated & directed by the president of the SLACAL Seva Vanitha branch, Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge.

The program was conducted with the support of Dr.WSA Fernando, his medical and nursing staff at the Hospital. 60 soldiers volunteered to donate their blood and the remaining participants were peasents from the neighboring villages.

The President Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge graced this occasion as chief guest on the invitation of the Commanding officer 4(V) SLACAL Lt Col Eranda Jayawarna & his spouse Mrs.Samadara who were instrumental in organising this significant event.

Concurrently the president gifted 100 liters of various environmentally friendly disinfectants and detergents necessary for the daily maintanence & upkeep of the hospital premises.

Other members of SVB SLACAL, Centre Commandant & senior officers participated in this community service project.
