  • THE THIRD AGRICULTURE COURSE CONDUCTED BY 2(V) SLACAL- KARANDENIYA

    The Basic Agriculture course No 3 conducted by 2(V) SLACAL in Karandeniya was completed on 10 April 2022 and course duration was one month. The Commanding Officer of 2(V) SLACAL Major WAND Jayasundara graced the occasion as the chief guest. 48 Other Ranks successfully completed the course and received their certificates.The course curriculum included with Organic farming, crops cultivation, Food preservation, Machinery, Animal husbandry and value added animal feed products.

  • The Colonel Commandant of SLACAL visited Regimental Headquarters of SLACAL Karandeniya- AMBALANGODA

    The Director General Financial Management (DGFM) of the Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock visited Regimental Headquarters at Karandeniya, AMBALANGODA on 09 April 2022.

  • THE BASIC AGRICULTURE COURSE NO - 3 SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE- ARALAGANWILA

    The Basic Agriculture Course No - 3 at the School of Agriculture in Aralaganwila was completed on 09 April 2022. The Commanding Officer of 1SLACAL Lieutenant Colonel HVKW Abeywickrama USP graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. A batch of 46 Other Ranks from 5(V) SLACAL and 6SLACAL of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock who completed the course received their certificates from the Chief Guest and highlighted the importancy of following this courses and this a benchmark for achieving the highest goals in Agriculture & Livestocks during his speech.

  • INTER BATTALION CRICKET TOURNAMENT - SLACAL 2022

    Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Inter Battalion cricket tournament - 2022 was organized with the objective of developing interaction between mutual battalions and selecting much talented and potential players of the Army and grooming them further for forthcoming Army Inter Regiment Cricket tournaments in order to gain competitive exposure. This was commenced on 21 March 2022 and continued until 02 April 2022.

  • 76 Other Ranks of SLACAL were promoted to the next higher ranks in mark of 141st Anniversary of SLAVF

    76 other ranks of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock were promoted to next higher rank. There were 12 Staff Sergeants, 26 Sergeants, 22 Corporals and 16 Lance Corporals to mark the 141 st anniversary of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Forces.

  • NEWLY RAISED BATTALION - 5(V) SLACAL

    Lieutenant Colonel WPK Samaranayake psc SLA assumed duties as 1st Commanding Officer of newly raised battalion 5(V) SLACAL on 22 March 2022.

  • THE SECOND BASIC AGRICULTURE COURSE COMMENCE AT 1 SLACAL - MAHAWA

    The Second Basic Agriculture course was started on 22 March 2022 at 1st Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock - Mahawa. Lieutenant Colonel H V K W Abeywickrama USP the Commanding Officer of 1 SLACAL graced the event and conducted the opening address for the course. 60 other rankers are participating for the course.

  • LECTURE ON HOME GARDENING AND PRODUCING COMPOST

    A Lecture on Home Gardening and Producing Compost was conducted on 17 March 2022 at Parish of Ragama Church with the participation of the Director General Financial Management (DGFM) of the Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Major General WBSM Abeysekera RSP USP and the President of Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Mrs Shanthie Abeysekera.
