  • FOUNDATION STONE LAID FOR COMMANDING OFFICERS’ CHALET

    The foundation stone laying ceremony for construction of Commanding Officer's Chalet, for the 1st Reconnaissance Regiment took place at Rock House Camp, on 01 January 2022.

  • RENOVATED TROOPERS’ BILLET DECLARED OPENED AT 4 AR

    Marking the final phase of improving living standards of NCO’s of the 4 Armoured Regiment, the newly renovated Troopers’ billet was declared opened by the Commanding Officer, Lt Col D P A S A Witharana psc on Saturday, 01 January 2022 during a simple ceremony. The facility was an end result of the vision of the Commanding Officer which was followed by the effort and labour of the troops of 4 Armoured Regiment.

  • 38TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED AT ACTC

    The 38th Anniversary of Armoured Corps Training Centre celebrated on 01 January 2022 at Kalattewa Camp premises. The Commandant of the ACTC, Colonel T C Harasgama RSP was honoured on the corps day as per the military formalities. Anniversary fascinating events unfolded with Guard Turnout, planting a tree sapling, distribution of book sets for the ORs for their school children followed by a troop address. During the address Commandant has emphasized the value of the training, discipline, and responsibilities of the soldiers in achieving the professionalism which is the ultimatum of the core values of the corps. The event was concluded with an all Rank tea.

  • INTER REGIMENT RUGBY TOURNAMENT – 2021

    Inter Regiment Rugby Tournament - 2021 was organized by 1st Reconnaissance Regiment, Sri Lanka Armoured Corps was held at Rock House rugby ground on 22, 23 and 24 of November 2021. Brigadier W P Kariyawasam graced the occasion as the Chief Guest at the finals.

  • CAVALRY OFFICER SHOWS COLOURS IN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS - 2021

    Cavalry Officer showed his colours in the Inter Regiment Chess Championships 2021, organized by the Sri Lanka Army Chess Committee, and excelled during November 22 – 23 November 2021 held at Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Regimental HQ auditorium at Panagoda. A total of 97 chess players from 17 Regiments competed for the individual championship.

  • UNITS VISITS CONDUCTED BY ARMOUR LADIES CLUB

    The donation of tablet computers, scholarships, and books to the offspring of soldiers and civil staff of ACTC, 3 SLAC, 4 SLAC, 5 SLAC, 6 SLAC, and 7 SLAC was held at the respective premises during 18 – 22 November 2021. The President of Armour Ladies Club Dr. (Mrs.) Harshini Bothota attended as the Chief Guest for the simple ceremonies.

  • NEW OFFICE FOR TCWO/DI INAUGURATED AT ACTC

    The inauguration of the newly established TCWO/DI office at Armoured Corps Training Centre was held on 19 November 2021 by Colonel T C Harasgama RSP, the Commandant of Armoured Corps Training Centre by the invitation of WO I M N Weerasinghe RSP USP, the Training Centre Warrant Officer.

  • RENOVATED MESS BUILDING FOR WOs AND SGTs OF 6 SLAC OPENED

    The renovated Mess and Accommodation Facility Building of Warrant Officers and Sergeants of 6th Regiment (rft) Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Morawewa was declared open in a simple ceremony on 09 November 2021.

  • CONDUCT OF UNIT PRESENTATION - 6 REGIMENT (RFT)

    Unit presentation of 6 Regiment (rft) Sri Lanka Armoured Corps was successfully conducted on the topic of “Election and political systems of USA and its impact to the world and countries like Sri Lanka” on Tuesday, 09 November 2021 at 1900 hour at the Officers’ mess. Literate judge panel evaluated the performances of Officers of 6 Regiment (rft) Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and commented on it. The occasion was followed by a happy hour and dinner for invitees at Officers’ mess premises.
