Lieutenant Colonel P S Liyanage RSP USP assumed duties as the 21 st Commanding Officer of the 4 Armoured Regiment on 29 September 2025 at Clappenberg Camp. The ceremony included a Guard Turnout, Wreath Laying to honour fallen heroes, and the official assumption of duties. He then addressing all ranks, emphasised the need of upholding professionalism, discipline, and regimental traditions. The event concluded with an All Ranks Tea.

On 30th August 2025, under the guidance of Mrs. Sumangali Pathiravithana, Chairperson of SVB-SLAC, a welfare program was initiated by Mrs. Ashoka Wickramarachchi, Team Leader 7 Volunteer Regiment SLAC, at Demunnewa Primary School for students from low-income families. The program included activities designed to support and improve the well-being of the students and their families.
