    The Commandant Armoured Corps Training Centre Colonel L S D N Pathiratna RSP USP declared open an upgraded and renovated civil servants' accommodation and newly constructed washroom complex by visualising the requirement of improving the living standards of the civil servants at ACTC camp premises on 26 November 2022.

    The newly appointed Centre Commandant, Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Brigadier P N Wijesiriwardena RSP USP assumed duties as 18th Centre Commandant of the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Armoured Corps on Monday, 21 November 2022 at the Rock House Camp.

  • NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDER ARMOURED BRIGADE ASSUMED DUTIES

    Brigadier W P Kariyawasam, the newly-appointed Commander Armoured Brigade assumed his office on Monday, 21 November 2022 at the Headquarters Armoured Brigade - Rock House Camp amidst a colourful ceremony. Before ushering to the new office, the incoming Brigade Commander was honoured with a formal Guard Turnout on his arrival at the entrance. Afterwards, amid religious blessings, he placed his signature on an official document and symbolized the acceptance of his new responsibilities.

  • NEWLY RENOVATED ACCOMMODATION BUILDING FOR WOs' & SGTs' MESS DECLARED OPEN AT ACTC

    The inauguration of newly renovated accommodation building for SNCOs at Armoured Corps Training Centre was declared open by Colonel L S D N Pathiratna RSP USP, the Commandant of Armoured Corps Training Centre at the invitation of WO I K G C Prasanna USP, the Training Centre Warrant Officer on 19 November 2022.

  • COMMANDER ARMOURED BRIGADE RELINQUISHES DUTIES

    Brigadier M W A R C Wijesuriya RSP USP, the Commander Armoured Brigade relinquished his duties on Friday, 18 November 2022 amidst the formal military ceremony held at Rock House Army Camp.

  • 3RD ARMOURED REGIMENT CELEBRATED ITS 34TH ANNIVERSARY

    3rd Armoured Regiment Sri Lanka Armoured Corps remarked on its 34th anniversary on 16 November 2022 and as a customary, Guard Turnout and Ceremonial Parade accorded to Lieutenant Colonel N V A M Vithanage RSP psc, the Commanding Officer 3 AR SLAC and the Chief Guest of day’s event.

    Visualizing the requirement of improving the living standards of civil staff of 4th Armoured Regiment, newly renovated accommodation building was declared open by the Lt Col D P A S A Witharana psc, Commanding Officer 4 AR on Monday, 24 October 2022 with a simple ceremony. The troops of 4 AR contributed to this worthy effort by providing labour support.

  • ARMOUR LADIES VISIT ‘ABIMANSALA - 3’ – PANGOLLA

    Having noble intention to uplift the spirits of our differently-abled war heroes and to look in to their well-being, the Chairperson of Armour Ladies Club, Dr (Mrs) Harshini Bothota and fellow members together with several Senior Officers visited the ‘Abimansala-3’, wellness resort - Pangolla on 22 October 2022. The day's event unfolded with ward visits followed by offering of delectable snacks and donation of gift packs to individual inmates.

  • 67TH ANNIVERSARY PARADE OF 1ST RECCE REGIMENT HELD AT ROCK HOUSE CAMP

    The 1st Reconnaissance Regiment Sri Lanka Armoured Corps remarked its 67th anniversary on 17 October 2022 and as a customary, Guard Turnout and Ceremonial Parade accorded to Lieutenant Colonel W D S D Wickramaarachchi RWP RSP USP psc, the Commanding Officer 1 SLAC and the Chief Guest of day’s event.
