  • NEW ACCOMMODATION FACILITY FOR WOs & SGTs AT 3 AR

    The 3 Armoured Regiment officially opened its newly constructed prefabricated building at the WOs' and Sgts' mess on 26 Feb 2024. The ceremony was graced by Maj Gen MS Devapriya USP ndc, the GOC of the 64 Inf Div.

  • MONETARY SUPPORT OF LADIES FOR ENHANCING WELL-BEING

    In accordance with the guidance provided by the President Army Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Janaki Liyange, the President Armour Ladies Club, Mrs Samangka Fernando has selected four deserving soldiers to award monetary support.     As per the guidance of Major General S W M Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, the Commander Security Forces (West) and the Colonel Commandant SLAC, an Officers Training Day and a Diners’ Club for the 1st Quarter of 2024 were successfully conducted on Wednesday, 21 February 2024 at Rock House camp premises with the participation of SLAC senior officers and officers, including those serving on extra regimental employments.

  • REGIMENTAL CENTRE SLAC EXTENDS LITERARY GESTURE TO CHILDREN OF REGIMENTAL AND CIVILIAN STAFF

    In a heartwarming event held at the Rock House camp's auditorium on 02 February 2024, the Regimental Centre SLAC, under the dedicated leadership of Mrs. Samangka Fernando, the President of the Armour Ladies Club, orchestrated a thoughtful initiative to distribute books and stationary items to the children of both the Regimental Staff and Civil Staff.

  • 6 REGIMENT, SRI LANKA ARMOURED CORPS (RFT) CONDUCTED THE UNIT SYMPOSIUM - 2024

    On 26 January 2024, a groundbreaking event took place as the 6 Regiment, Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (Rft) hosted its inaugural Unit Symposium in Morawewa, Trincomalee. The symposium, titled "THE NATIONAL SECURITY, OPERATIONAL READINESS OF CURRENT ARMOURED FLEET OF SRI LANKA ARMOURED CORPS, EMPLOYMENT OF ARMOUR IN COUNTERINSURGENCY SCENARIOS," featured distinguished guests, with Maj Gen K M P S B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, GOC - 54 Inf Div, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest.

  • 6 REGIMENT SRI LANKA ARMOURED CORPS (RFT) DINERS' CLUB

    As part of the unit's Annual Officers' Training Programme, the 6 Regiment Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (Rft) hosted a Diners' Club event at the Officers’ Mess, 6 SLAC (Rft) on 26 January 2024. The evening featured a captivating Guest Lecture by Col M B B N Herath RSP, the Director of Media & Spokesman at MOD, addressing the theme 'SPIRIT OF LEADERSHIP THROUGH THIRD LENS.' Designed to enrich the knowledge base of Cavalry Officers, the event also served as a dynamic social platform for meaningful interaction.
