In a momentous celebration of valour and unity, all regiments of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps celebrated 15th Anniversary of Victory Day on 18 and 19 May 2024. The commemoration not only honoured the courageous officers and soldiers who served but also reflected on the regiment's significant contributions to safeguarding the nation's sovereignty and peace.
The commemoration events were a testament to the resilience and dedication of the officers and soldiers who have served under the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps. Through various ceremonies and events, the regiment paid homage to those who made supreme sacrifices and demonstrated unwavering courage in the face of adversity.
Further, with the special invitation of Commanding Officer 4 AR, an oration which was dedicated in the name of late WO 2 Hiddewa Bandara H M H S WWV RSP was conducted by Brig P N Wijesiriwardena RSP USP, with a special reference to Operation Riviresa and Jayasikuru.
Regardless of background or status, families came together in a display of strength and support, embodying the spirit of resilience that defines the regiment.
