  • UNITS VISITS CONDUCTED BY ARMOUR LADIES CLUB

    The donation of tablet computers, scholarships, and books to the offspring of soldiers and civil staff of ACTC, 3 SLAC, 4 SLAC, 5 SLAC, 6 SLAC, and 7 SLAC was held at the respective premises during 18 – 22 November 2021. The President of Armour Ladies Club Dr. (Mrs.) Harshini Bothota attended as the Chief Guest for the simple ceremonies.

  • NEW OFFICE FOR TCWO/DI INAUGURATED AT ACTC

    The inauguration of the newly established TCWO/DI office at Armoured Corps Training Centre was held on 19 November 2021 by Colonel T C Harasgama RSP, the Commandant of Armoured Corps Training Centre by the invitation of WO I M N Weerasinghe RSP USP, the Training Centre Warrant Officer.

  • RENOVATED MESS BUILDING FOR WOs AND SGTs OF 6 SLAC OPENED

    The renovated Mess and Accommodation Facility Building of Warrant Officers and Sergeants of 6th Regiment (rft) Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Morawewa was declared open in a simple ceremony on 09 November 2021.

  • CONDUCT OF UNIT PRESENTATION - 6 REGIMENT (RFT)

    Unit presentation of 6 Regiment (rft) Sri Lanka Armoured Corps was successfully conducted on the topic of “Election and political systems of USA and its impact to the world and countries like Sri Lanka” on Tuesday, 09 November 2021 at 1900 hour at the Officers’ mess. Literate judge panel evaluated the performances of Officers of 6 Regiment (rft) Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and commented on it. The occasion was followed by a happy hour and dinner for invitees at Officers’ mess premises.

  • TROOPS OF 7 (V) REGIMENT RESCUE 3 FLOOD VICTIMS IN RAJANGANAYA

    The troops of 7 (V) Regiment, Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, and relief team in Thabuttegama police station , rescued 3 persons ( two males aged 61 and 66 & a female aged 59 years)who were trapped due to floods following heavy downpour at track 05, Rajanganaya area on 09 November 2021.

    The presentation of the 4 Armoured Regiment for the year 2021 was successfully condcuted on 08 November 2021 under the topic of “Multi Domain Operations: A Strategy for the 21st Century” at the Officers’ Mess of 4 Armoured Regiment.

  • INTER UNIT FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT - 2021

    Inter Unit Football Tournament - 2021 was organized by 5th Reconnaissance Regiment, Sri Lanka Armoured Corps was (SLAC) held at Ironside ground, Pangolla on 01, 02 and 03 of November 2021 and Brigadier MA Izadeen RSP graced the occasion as the Chief Guest at the finals.

  • ARMOUR YOUNG OFFICER COURSE 31 ENDS

    The closing ceremony of the Armour Young Officer Course (YOC) - 31 got underway at Armoured Corp Training Centre (ACTC) auditorium on 02 November 2021. The Commandant, ACTC, Colonel T C Harasgama RSP, together with the Chief Instructor attended the event.

  • LEADERSHIP AND MOTIVATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR ALL RANKS OF SRI LANKA ARMOURED CORPS

    Headquarters Armoured Brigade has organized leadership and motivational workshops for the all ranks of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) under the guidance of the Colonel Commandant of SLAC and the Commander Armoured Brigade during the 11 to 22 October 2021. Veteran Instructor Warrant Officer I Waduge Piyarathna Silva (Rtd) - SLAC has conducted the lecture series on self-discipline, soldiers’ behavior, positive thinking, personality development, situation handling and man management to enhance their military career in order to face multiple challenges at their workplace. Total number of 1170 were participated for the aforesaid workshop series including Regimental Centre and the all Units.
