Such was the case on 25 July 2023, when a generous sponsorship by SDB Bank, North West Province, SDB Bank, Wariyapola, SDB Bank, Kuliyapitiya, and New Pharmacy, Kurunegala, coordinated by the 143 Infantry Brigade Headquarters and 1 Sri Lanka National Guard, resulted in a significant donation of school accessories to 13 underprivileged students at Siyabalawa Primary School and 24 Students at Gallegoda Primary School in the 143 Brigade area in Kurunegala District.

Morning hours on 02 August 2023, In a remarkable display of efficiency and prompt action, a contingent of Army personnel, including one Officer from 3 (V) Battalion Gemunu Watch under 613 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West), swiftly responded to a bushfire that broke out in the Kuruthotakanda, Ginnaliya forest area, located in the Matara district, at the request of the Police Station Urubokka. The incident began when a bushfire was brought into the forest reserve from the Kolonna Area Forest Reserve in the Rathnapura district.

In response to the request made by the Royal College, Colombo, Army personnel from 21 Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 7 Battalion Gemunu Watch, 14 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and 7 (v) Battalion Gajaba Regiment of the 142 Infantry Brigade under 14 Infantry Division of Security Forces (West) lent their contribution by training their students for a formal parade from 17 to 27 July 2023.
