    At the second stage of Jasmine planting, Army personnel of 6 Field Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery under 141 Brigade assisted to plant 1000 Jasmine saplings inside Dathukanda Sri Jinendrarama Raja Maha Viharaya in Kalalpitiya upon the request made by the Chief Incumbent thero on 31 October 2022.

  • WEST TROOPS ASSIST IN JASMINE PLANTING

    By planting 500 Jasmine plants, the first phase of the project of planting 1000 Jasmine plants got underway at Kalalpitiya Dhathukanda Sri Jinendrarama Raja Maha Viharaya premises by the troops of 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery on 18 October 2022.

    Flooding and landslides fuelled by the torrential rains over the last week have adversely affected over the Island. Simultaneously, Security Forces (West) troops alert to the developing adverse weather patterns across the western Province and alerted areas on the directions of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, and close supervision of the Commander Security Forces (West), Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP, have already commenced their evacuation, rescue and relief operations in worst - hit areas in Security Forces (West) AOR.

  • WEST TROOPS ASSISTED A DENGUE PREVENTION PROGRAMME

    With the increasing trend in the number of dengue cases have been reported island-wide, Anti Dengue Programme has been launched in parallel to the ongoing island-wide National Dengue Epidemic Prevention Campaigns by the troops serving under the 14 and 61 Infantry Divisions of the Security Forces (West) from 12 to 14 October 2022 covering seven Districts, including 20 MOH areas in Security Forces (West) AOR.

  • ARMY PERSONNEL OF 143 INFANTRY BRIGADE ORGANIZED AN EVENT IN PARALLEL TO WORLD CHILDREN’S DAY – 2022

    On 07 October 2022, in parallel to World Children’s Day – 2022, a lot of school accessories were distributed among 65 children from low-income families who were suffering due to severe economic difficulties at Thevanuwara Primary School in Puttalam district under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division and the initiative of 143 Infantry Brigade along with troops of 16 Battalion the Gajaba Regiment.
