    Officers and Other Ranks of 144 Infantry Brigade Headquarters on 30 November 2022 attended a valuable lecture, themed as ‘Powers Vested in Members of the Armed Forces under Various Legal Statuses’. It was organized by the 144 Infantry Brigade on the direction of the General Officer Commanding of 14 Infantry Division Major General J M R N K Jayamanna RWP and under close supervision of the Commander 144 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier K M V Kodithuwakku at 144 Infantry Brigade Headquarters premises.

    The troops of 3 (v) Battalion Gemunu Watch of 613 Infantry Brigade under Security Forces (West) located at the edge of River Nilvala - Matara, have launched a daring rescue operation to rescue a 74-years-old man who attempted to suicide by leaping into River Nilwala from the Matara Mahanama bridge at around 2000 hrs on 19 November 2022.
