THE NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDER OF THE 612 INFANTRY BRIGADE ASSUMES DUTIES

Brigadier H K L J Perera WWV RWP RSP assumed office as the new Commander of the 612 Infantry Brigade on 15 July 2024, amid military formalities, including a Guard Turnout upon his arrival at the premises.

Following the formal military honors, Brigadier H K L J Perera WWV RWP RSP took over duties amidst religious observances and signed an official document to signify his acceptance of the new office. Subsequently, the new Brigade Commander planted a sapling in the compound to mark the assumption of his duties. Afterward, he shared refreshments with all ranks and addressed the troops, emphasizing the significance of discipline and its integral role in achieving success. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of the 612 Infantry Brigade extended their best wishes to the newly appointed Brigade Commander on the assumption of duties of the new appointment.
