Indian NDC Delegation Meets Commander Security Forces Jaffna
A delegation of 20 military officers and 14 spouses of India’s National Defence College (NDC) headed by Major General Hari B Pillai, Chief of the Directing Staff arrived in Sri Lanka on Sunday (17) evening and visited Jaffna on 20 October 2021.
This tour is a part of their familiarization tour in the curriculum and the delegation comprised of senior officers from India, United States of America, Japan, Iran, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Malaysia. They were received at the Palaly International Airport Jaffna by the Brigadier General Staff and the Brigadier Admin and Quartering of the Security Forces Jaffna on arrival.
Accordingly, visiting delegation was accompanied to the Indian Peace Keeping Monument Palaly while head of the delegation, Major General Hari B Pillai proceeded to the Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna. At headquarters premises, Major General Hari Pillai was warmly welcomed by Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu and together they visited the IPKF Monument. Then, the delegation paid tribute to the memory of fallen IPKF War Heroes, placing floral wreaths at the IPKF Monument during the brief and solemn ceremony.
