Troops 522 Infantry Brigade of the 52 Division of the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) in line with the 72nd anniversary of Army launched community welfare services at Mirusuvil and Kethpali on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding, 52 Division, Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc on 10 and 11 October 2021.
Accordingly, 7 (V) Battalion of Gajaba Regiment presented stationery items for the students and gift packs for the staff of Holy family Children Home in Mirusuvil and this was followed a provision of delicious lunch for all the inmates of Holy family Children Home.
Meanwhile, a ceremony of dry ration packs donating to low income families in Kethpeli area was also conducted by the troops of 7 (V) Battalion of Gajaba Regiment. Under this community assistance programme, a total of 25 deserving families in Kethpali area received Rs. 1500 worth dry ration packs. The donation included daily needed commodities such as rice, dhal, sugar, potatoes and onions etc.
The Commander 522 Infantry Brigade, Colonel SA Hettige RSP psc together with Commanding Officer 7 (V) GR graced the ceremonies as the chief guest and senor officers in the respective areas were also present the events by adhering to health guidelines.
