6th Vijayabahu Regiment located in 221 Brigade area under 22 Div in Security Force (East) Renovated the Drinking water and Drainage system of the Periyakulam Preschool with the financial assistance of Rs 40000.00 contributed by donors Oversees on 8 th May 2013 to 11 th May 2013

As per the concept of Commander Security Forces (East) Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, Commander Task Force 3 Brig SHFP Perera RSP conducted a meeting with all Religious leaders in the Ampara and Baticolo district on 07 May 2013 at Ninthaur Vocational Training Center with the aim of building harmony amongst religious leaders. Positive sentiments were expressed by participants. 63 Religious leaders , Commander 631 Bde, Commander 632 Bde, senior officers participated to the said Meeting.

233 Brigade of 23 Division in the Security Forces (East) area, Distributed of gift packets with Readymade Garments to 85 members of Vanila Elders Society in Uriyankaddu village on 9 May 2013. The event was held at Uriyankaddu GN Office with the financing assistance of Mr A S R Karunarathna, motor vehicle valuator at Eastern Province. Brig W S Ariyasinghe RSP graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Several Military and Civil dignitaries along with Villagers of Uriyankaddu Village participated for this event.

233 Brigade located in Vakarai in 23 Div under Security Forces (East) area, Provide transport & other necessary assistance for Students and Parents of the Dhamma School of Kadawathmaduwa Temple along with priests and members of trustees to visit Thoppigala Heritage Park on 12th May 2013. They have climbed the Thoppigala Mountain and engage several Entertainments, Educational activities organized by the Sri Lanka Army.

As per the concept and guidelines by Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG Commander Security Froce East , 16 Artillery regiment located in Dibulagala renovated Maduru Oya Tank Bund Buddha statue with the assistance of peoples Bank Aralaganvila and chief engineering officer Maduruoya.

8 Battalion Gemunu Watch located in Unnachchi under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area Conducted a Shramadana Campaign at Pillumale Tample on 12th May 2013.

18 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment stationed in Kalawanchikudi under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in the Security Forces( East) area ,Conducted a Dengue Prevention campaign to clear the area of Kalavanchikudi Hospital on 12thMay 2013.

With an aim of Improving Nutrition Standards of Students in Akkarepaththu area 11 Sri Lanka National Guard under 631 Brigade of Task Force 3 in Security Forces (East) distributed Milk Powder Packets for 70 students of SRI Darmarathna Sinhala School in Akkarepaththu on 14 th May 2013 with the financial assistance of Foundation of Goodness.

Sri Lanka Army, 24th Sri Lanka National Guard under 232 Brigade of 23 Division located in Vakare area under Security Forces (East) organized a shramadhana campaign on 24May 2013 in Senpura Ayurveda Hospitale .

Eye Clinic and Distribution of Spectacles was organized by in 223 Brigade area under 22 Div in Security Force (East) on 13 May 2013, with the financing assistance of "Jana Sahana" Foundation. The event was held at Madirigiriya Divisional Sectary Office,with participation of more than 3 hundred civilians.
