15th Regiment, Sri Lanka Light Infantry located in Soorangal under 224 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Force (East) area Organized a "Shramadhana Campaign” to clear "Kinniya beach" area on 21th May 2014 with the participation of General Public in the area.

Basketball Tournament Organized along with the "ARMY EASTERN GAMES 2014" Commenced at Security forces Headquarters (East) premises, Welikanda on 19TH May 2014.Seven Basketball teams representing all Formations of the Eastern theatre taken part at the Basketball Tournament. An Exhibition Basketball Match was played between two Teams of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps at the initiation of the Basketball Tournament.

Finals of the Basketball Tournament Organized along with the "ARMY EASTERN GAMES 2014" was conducted at Security forces Headquarters (East) premises at Welikanda on 25TH May 2014.

The Opening Address of the 2nd Basic Computer Course conducted by the Security Forces Headquarters (East) in the Year 2014, with the direction of commander Security Forces East Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG. was held at Security Forces Headquarters(East) Lecture Hall on 28 th May 2014 The Opening Address was delivered by Brig KLAS Wijesinghe RWP RSP psc IG, Brigadier General Staff - SFHQ (E).

8th Regiment, Sri Lanka National Guard located in Periyawadduwan under 232 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area Conducted a Dengue Prevention Programme at Yodiyankattu Village in Koraleipattu on 26 May 2014 with the Participation of the Villagers.

11th Regiment, Sri Lanka Artillery located in Vakarei under 233 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area Organized a Shramadhana Campaign to clean the surroundings of Dhibu Ihalawawa Pre School in Dhibulagala on 26 th May 2014.

8th Regiment,Sri Lanka National Guard located in Periyawadduwan under 232 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area, organized a distribution of School amenities among Students who were studding at Pulipanchikal Pre School in Koraleipattu are on 23 May 2014.

22nd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment located in Kallar under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East), Organized a distribution of School amenities among 124 x Students who were studding in Grade 5 at T/Mahaweligama School in Trincomalle with the generous Sponsorship of Faster Kumar Rasaiyah, Director of the Gradeshow Company Bokkawala, Kandy on 29 May 2014.

English Course conducted for Officers who served in Security Forces East area, at the Security Forces Headquarters (East), with the directions of Commander Security Forces East Major General SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, was terminated on 3rd June 2014. The Closing Address was delivered by Major General SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG. Commander Security Forces East .The English Course was conducted for 45 x working days with an aim to develop the English Knowledge of officers serving under Security Forces East area.

12th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery located in Kalladi under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) Organized a Shramadana to clear the Surroundings of Valachchenai Murth Amman Koovil in Koraleipattu as a Dengue Prevention Campaign on 31th May 2014 with the participation of Villages in the area.
