6th Regiment, Sri Lanka Armored Corps located in Gomarankadawala under 221 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Force (East) area, Conducted a Medical Clinic and a Donation of Welfare Items at Gomarankadawala School on 03 May 2014 with the assistance of Mount Lavienia and Mid City Lions Clubs for 400 X Studentd and Civilions in the area. Distribution of 120 X Spectacals,100 X Nurishment packs for Pregnet Mothers,School amnities and Libruary Books were taken place at the function.Several Militery and Civil Dignataries were attend for the function.

As per the concept of The Commander, Security Forces (East) Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, Security Forces Headquarters (East) Conducted a Meeting with Hindu Religious & Social Leaders in the Eastern Province headed by Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, The Commander, Security Forces (East) on 10 May 2014 at Security Forces Headquarters (East) with an aim to get viable solutions for problems they faced in their area.

2nd Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps located in Welikanda under Security Forces (East) Organized a Donation of Gift packs Contained School amentias worth of Rs 2000/= each and host the Lunch for Students who were studying at Singithi Pre School at, Sooriyawewa, Sinhapura on 12 May 2014

Security Forces Headquarters (East) Celebrate Vesak festival in Giant Scale. Initially a Bodhy Pooja was organized at the Security Forces Headquarters (East) premises followed by a Vesak Zone organized along with the Batticoloa road in Welikanda Town consist of Vesak Lantern exhibition and a Vesak Dansala from 14th May 2014 to 17th May 2014. Major General Lal Perera, Commander, Security Forces (East) declared open the Vesak zone on 15 th May 2014 Lot of devotees reside in the area paid visits at the Vesak Zone and attend for Dansala.
