With the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division, Major General Chaminda Lamahewa and with the supervision of the Commander 241 Infantry Brigade, a disaster relief operation was conducted on 11 September 2021 in storm affected Keselwaththa village in Damana DS Division. Commanding Officer of 11 SLNG and 01 x 20 troops volunteered to repair 21 houses which were partially damaged and to clear the blocked road network of the village.

Troops of the 16 Battalion of Sri Lanka National Guard serving under the 241 Infantry Brigade of 24 Infantry Division conducted a Sharamadana campaign at Hardy Advanced Technological Institute, Ampara on Thursday (02) under the close supervision of Major Samantha Kodithuwakku, Commanding Officer of 16 SLNG. During the Shramadana, the troops cleaned the institute premises and mended the fence.
