The troops of 6th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment serving under the 233 Infantry Brigade of the Security Force - East organized a Shramadana campaign to clean up the surroundings of Vakarai Maha Vidyalaya on Tuesday (6). The Shramadana campaign got underway under the supervision of the Commander 233 Infantry Brigade Colonel Wasantha Hewage.

The opening ceremony of newly constructed Relics Mansion of Mailankarachchi Sri Mahindaraama Temple got underway on 27 and 28 March with the supervision of the Commander 233 Infantry Brigade Colonel RWK Hewage RWP RSP and the Commanding Officer of 6th Battalion, the Gajaba Regiment at the Temple premises. Concurrently, an All-night Pirith Chanting with the offering of ‘Heel Dana’ was held with the auspices of Mr. KP Thisera in Wadduwa who donated Rs. 1.6 million for this respectable event.

3rd (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock in collaboration with the 95th Batch of Agriculture Faculty, University of Peradeniya donated school items for underprivileged students of Malinda Primary School, Madurangala Primary School and Monarathanna Primary School in Welikanda Educational Division.
