A conference was conducted to discuss about the matters pertaining to the security of annual Esala Maha Perehera in Kandy. This conference was held on 22 July 2020 at the conference hall of 11 Division and it was chaired by the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP. Further, General Officer Commanding of 11 Division, the Senior Superintendent of Police and the officers of Army, Navy, Air force and Police participated in this conference.

The foundation stone was laid for a holiday bungalow in Nuwara Eliya, in order that the officers and their families can spend vacations in the central highlands. The picturesque surrounding fully fledged with charming beauty and the cool climes urged to commence the constructions in Nuwara Eliya. Further, this bungalow is constructed in the premises of 3(V) Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment which is located in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central). On 02 July 2020 at an auspicious time, the foundation stone was laid by the Commander of the Army. Following that, the Commander visited the construction site of three story holiday bungalow complex which is located in Hawaeliya, Nuwara Eliya for middle grade and senior Officers in the Army.

The General Officer Commanding of 11 Division, Major General W M J R K Senarathne RWP RSP, Brigade Commander of 112 Brigade, Brigadier E A P Ediriweera RWP and few more Officers also participated in this visit.
