A newly constructed house was handed over to a selected low income family in Yudaganawa, Buttala on 12 September 2020. This was constructed under “Sirasa Niwasa” housing project which was launched by Sirasa Media Network. Further, the constructions work of the project was carried out by the troops of Sri Lanka Army.

In parallel with the ‘Saubhagyaye Dekma’ programme and under the direction of the HE the President, 50 000 graduates are recruited to the public sector and the orientation training programmes are conducted in the military establishments. Accordingly, the training centres which are under command to Security Forces (Central) were visited by the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP on 08,09,10 September 2020 prior to the commencement of the training programmes. Moreover, a discussion was also held with the participation of the Senior Officers, Officers and instructors of the under command training schools.

A Bodhi Pooja was organized by 8 Sri Lanka Military Intelligence Corps which is under command to Security Force Headquarters (Central) on account of Binara Full Moon Poya Day on 01 September 2020 at the Bodhikanda temple, Diyatalawa. The Commander Security Force (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP and other Senior Officers also participated in this Bodhi Pooja.

New constructions at Army Base Hospital, Diyatalawa were declared open on 11 August 2020 and this ceremony was graced by the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP accepting the invitation of Officer Commanding of the hospital, Major L D Rathnaweera. Further, Senior Officers, Officers as well as Other Ranks participated in this ceremony

A conference was conducted to discuss about the matters pertaining to the security of annual Esala Maha Perehera in Kandy. This conference was held on 22 July 2020 at the conference hall of 11 Division and it was chaired by the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP. Further, General Officer Commanding of 11 Division, the Senior Superintendent of Police and the officers of Army, Navy, Air force and Police participated in this conference.
